Ch.14

Klaus POV

It took me a few minutes before I was able to feel her presence. I teleported to where she was and saw a small house. It was a two story, blue and white house with a small garden full of flowers and fruit trees. It felt cozy and taken care of.

It was Alan and Martha’s house. I walked to the front door and rang the bell.

Ding … Dong

A few seconds later, Alan opened the door with a smile on his face: “Klaus” he was surprised to see me.

“Hi, Alan. I’m here to…” he didn’t let me finish and nodded his head in understanding. I liked Alan. He was smart and knew my true intentions.

He ushered me in and I stepped inside. They were eating dinner together. They sat around the table like a family and for the first time I saw Aria genuinely smiling. It was clear how she enjoyed the love and care they showered her with.

Unconsciously I smiled back: “Hello” once she saw me her smile disappeared and was replaced with a frown.
