Ch. 4 Seeing You Again

Renzo 20. Saoirse 16

Renzo POV:

I had finally completed the Alpha training and was excited to surprise Saoirse by arriving two weeks earlier than planned. However, I ended up being the one who was surprised.

“What do you mean she left the pack?” I asked incredulously.

Shane was attempting to explain while I paced my dad's office in frustration.

“She left two years ago, just two weeks after you left,” he replied.

I grabbed him by the neck when I heard that revelation. He had assured me all these years that she was safe. She didn’t email me as promised, but Shane told me it was because she was embarrassed about not having a wolf. Didn’t she know that she was all I wanted, wolf or no wolf?

I was seething with anger. My dad pulled me away from Shane.

“You need to calm down, son. I was going to send the message to her before you came back. She asked for permission to leave two years ago because it had become unbearable for her here. She was tired of the looks of pity from people when they learned she didn’t get a wolf. Things at school were getting out of hand. The shewolves who had always envied her saw their opportunity to torment her as soon as you left, and they found out about her misfortune.”

I'll skin them all alive.

"What did you both do to protect her? You just accepted her decision to leave instead of standing up to those people? Aren't you their Alpha? She had to leave her parents when she was at her most vulnerable, and I had even left too.

I put both of my hands on my head out of desperation.

"I can't believe this is happening. Where is she? Where is my Luna?"

"Now, son, you can't go spreading those rumors around. You are still unsure if she is your fated, and with her not having her wolf, I think you should reconsider..."

"She is my everything. If you want a sane Alpha running this pack, you will tell me where she is right now. I have to go and find my Luna."

"Before I tell you where she is, you must understand that we all did what we thought was best for you. Even she agreed that telling you everything happening here would have been detrimental to your preparation. Your priority should be this pack. Soon, you will be responsible for thousands of people. You will be the head of our businesses, and you need to be clear."

"She is all the clarity I need." Where.. is. she.?"

"She is in Ireland with her grandmother. Shane will go with you for her."

I stormed out, yelling instructions to Shane. He needed to prepare everything for us to leave—a private plane or a commercial flight, whichever was fastest. I was not going to wait a minute longer without her. My wolf was restless, too. The idiot was used to her and the way she pampered him.

We arrived in Ireland the next day. Her parents gave me all the details so I could find her. It was early morning. The drive to her grandmother's home was along these picturesque places I couldn't even enjoy. My heart was in my throat just thinking how much she had to suffer just because I had to leave. Shane, at my side, had the decency to look ashamed.

"Renzo, I had to do what your father asked me to do. You know, Alpha's orders. But even so, Saoirse was not safe in the pack. Hanna and I couldn't be with her 24/7, not even her parents. When Hanna heard one of her classmates, Stacey wanted to fight her just to hurt her and to humiliate her. To demonstrate she wasn't Luna material. It was then that I knew she needed to leave the pack. I suggested to her, and she agreed."

I can't believe what I'm hearing. My mate, my Luna, my world, unsafe in her own pack.

"They will all face consequences. Don't even doubt it for a second."

"You can't go punishing shewolves for trying to stake a claim. For trying to demonstrate who's stronger. We're wolves, Renzo."

"Watch me. Nobody hurts my Luna and leaves unscathed. They will think twice before going against her."

As soon as I saw the tiny house, I jumped out of the passenger's seat with the car still running. It had a rose garden and a small white picket fence. Just before I reached the door, it opened on its own, revealing the most fascinating creature that has owned me for years now.

"Renzo?"

I closed my eyes and breathed the melodious sound of my name in her voice. How I had missed her. She looked taller, slightly older than before, and more woman. Also, it was more curvacious and tempting with that glorious hair that was even longer. I stepped forward, unable to contain myself any longer. She jumped into my arms like in old times, and it felt like before. It felt like home. I buried my nose in the crook of her neck and inhaled her scent. Her delicious scent calmed me and my wolf instantly. She smelled like honey and vanilla, and that was my favorite scent.

"I missed you, Little One."

I don't know how long I held her, but we finally separated when Shane started clearing his throat. Then I realized we weren't alone anymore. A petite redhead woman was standing under the door's frame. She looked in her fifties and gave me a skeptical look. Saoirse decided to inspect me from head to toe, touching my chest and muscles with her dainty hands. Sending waves of pleasure through my body at her touch.

"I thought you wouldn't return from training in another 2 weeks, Renzo. I was going back too, to wait for you... You look bigger, and your muscles look... oh wow. You weren't this huge before. I'm sure you...

She trailed off when her grandmother cleared her throat in a disapproving way.

"Aren't you going to introduce your friends, Saoirse baby?"

It was then that she realized Shane was with me as well.

"Oh, yes, grandma, of course. Alpha Renzo and his Beta Shane from the Moon Shadow Pack in the USA are these. Guys, this is Grandma Maeve."

"Oh my, that sure is a long trip. Why don't you come inside to freshen up and eat something? I was baking some scones for breakfast."

We stepped in after Grandma Meave and the delicious aroma of the scones permeated inside. I was still holding Saoirse by the waste. I couldn't bring myself to let her go.

"Now, I'm going to need my granddaughter to help me bring some stuff from the kitchen if you young man wouldn't mind."

I released her immediately as Grandma Meave chuckled. Shane and I sat at the table while I watched my Little One Shasay, those round hips towards the kitchen. She had the most diminutive waste and the roundest bump with the most luscious, full, and perky breasts. I pushed my chair further under the table before I embarrassed myself if they saw my hard-on. 2 more years, I said to myself. In 2 more years, she will be completely mine.

We ate the delicious scones with coffee and other Irish dishes while Grandma Maeve practically interrogated us. Shane was unashamedly stuffing himself with scones while telling her all about Hanna and their toddler. Meanwhile, I took my fill, contemplating Luna's beauty. She looked at me with her beautiful, mismatched eyes and smiled. The doorbell rang then, and I wondered who it could be.
