“Try to be civil and cordial, son,” my mother said to me, coming ti stand in front of me and straightening my tie. I was in a grey plaid suit and white shirt. I looked smart, all thanks to my mother who insistently I looked my part as a great Alpha.

“I’m always civil, mother,” I mumbled and stepped past her. She caught me and gave me a disapproving look, looked behind me and tilted her head forward in a gesture and Ashley hurried forward to stand beside me.

“You two shouldn’t forget the point why we are here,” As she spoke, her eyes skidded from me to her and back. “These Alphas might be obnoxious but for the sake of our pack and getting them to be on our side, we shouldn't get into any form of disagreement with any of them.”
