Shopping with Anna

Chapter 31

Emma’s Pov:

I ate breakfast alone. I was told by the chef that my supposed mother-in-law went out for a function with Anna, and Scott’s younger brothers went to school, but they all had breakfast earlier.

It was quiet but rather peaceful since it wasn't awkward with Scott’s mother looking from across the table with contempt or disgust, Scott not glancing at me for once, or his little brothers staring at me, giving each other a knowing peek, and then laughing hysterically.

I was served a typical English breakfast consisting of bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, toast bread, and coffee.

I munched on the sausages with so much willingness to eat; it was what I liked more and fed on more among my other dishes. I was starting to eat too much because my unborn wolf was healthy, or so I thought.

After I had eaten to my fill, I was exhausted, so I stood up to allow the workers who were waiting on me to do their jobs by clearing where I had just eaten.
