Ryan’s POV

Drifting away between the humans had been easy. Elijah was just like any other wolf. Determined to keep the truth a secret from the humans, to keep our world hidden from the weak minded, which meant that he wouldn't sttack me so openly.

I dash back to my apartment, there had to be some clue in Elle’s room, something that would tell me what she was up to.

Tearing her room apart there wasn’t anything that would tell me where she had taken Aria. Her room was pristine, the smell of our sex still hanging in the air. I had put Aria in danger, no one else, just me.

Sitting on Elle’s bed I feel an odd lump under my ass. Quickly flipping the mattress, I find a book and realise it’s a diary.
