Glaring at Ryan, I was annoyed that he had decided that now should be the time to talk.

“So you are finally going to tell me? Explain why you killed my parents, why you disappeared in the night, why you whipped me?”

I snap at him, my arms folding across my chest as I feel my heartbeat quicken. I was confused and annoyed by his sudden change of interest, his sudden need to talk to me.
