Lucian's POV

As we sat by the fire, I couldn't help but feel content in Calla's presence. She looked so peaceful, and I was glad to be able to provide her with some comfort. Suddenly, I suggested that we take a little walk inside the fortress, hoping to show her more of my home.

At least to alleviate the mood.

I led her through the winding halls of the fortress, explaining its history and importance to our pack. Finally, I took her up to the highest part of the tower, where the view was truly breathtaking. The mountains were covered in snow and ice, glistening in the sunlight. Calla was in awe, and I felt a sense of pride in being able to show her such beauty.

After spending some time enjoying the view, I walked Calla back to her room. As soon as I left her, the anger from before crept back into my mind. Alpha Roland had caused so much trouble, and I couldn't let it go unpunished.
