Calla’s POV

Just after Lucian stormed out of the restaurant, Stephanie leaned over to me and whispered, "You should go apologize to Lucian."

I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Apologize for what?" "I haven't done anything wrong to him."

Stephanie sighed, clearly frustrated with my stubbornness. Just go talk to him. "He is obviously mad at you."

I shook my head, unwilling to budge. "I don't see why I should apologize for anything."

With that, I returned to my food, ignoring the rest of the group's conversation as my mind drifted off into my own thoughts.

I couldn't help but think about how I still didn't have any friends in the pack, despite being back for a while now. It seemed like everyone was either against me or simply didn't want to associate with me.

Even Stephanie, who had been so insistent on us going out to lunch, didn't seem genuine in her attempts to befriend me. I couldn't shake off the feeling that she had some ulterior motive for wanting to spend time with me.
