Naya's POVI was able to get fully ready many minutes later, after wasting my time in the bathroom, doing nothing but staring at my body in the mirror there. While I was in the bathroom, I didn't know why an image of Zach holding my waist and having a bath with me flashed through my head, but I made sure I stopped it before it became a reality. That'd be bad. After I got ready, I sat down on the bed to think about what I wanted to do throughout the day. There was nothing to do, and Zach didn't tell me about doing anything. I was pretty sure I wouldn't be given any chore to handle, but still, it seemed like there was nothing to do and that bothered me a little.I was still in deep thoughts, when my phone's ringtone interrupted my thoughts. A frown instantly settled on my face, because I didn't know who it could be.My brothers are the only people that are consistent with calling me, and they literally saw me yesterday, so the chances of them calling me was low.I decided to ignore the
Naya's POVWhen Zach's father, my father-in-law, ordered me to sit, I turned my head to look at Zach, because I didn't understand what was happening.I saw that Zach wasn't also happy with the way his father talked to me, but he didn't say anything. I could see the look of defence in his eyes, and an emotion that I didn't notice before. His eyes sparked with something, and before any more weird thing happened, I instantly dragged a chair out, before Zach had the chance to.I sat down directly opposite my father-in-law, and Zach took the seat that was directly beside it. The atmosphere in the dining room was choking, even with the fact that we were just three present. The thoughts of something being wrong clouded my head, and I suddenly had the feeling to ask Zach what was wrong as my husband, I was weirdly feeling like a wife."What's wrong? Are you okay?" I asked Zach, and he stole a glance at his father before looking back at me."Yeah, I'll call the maid," Zach said, and stood up a
Zach's POVWhen I woke up that morning, I had thought that I was going to have a beautiful morning and day, but my father already spoiled my day before it even started. We were having a little argument in the dining room, and I just sensed that Naya was coming, so I kept my mouth shut and started looking at my father with deadly eyes.Naya walked in, and she stared at us with questions in her eyes, before settling down on a seat beside mine.My father mind-linked me, and started telling me things that I didn't even care about, one was ironically how he wanted me to be a better husband.I already made up my mind to ignore him throughout breakfast, until Naya and I were through enough to go out together. There are a lot of things that I really want to show her.The breakfast was going well, well it was better than I thought, and I didn't think anything would make it worse, until I saw my pack members walking into the room like they owned it.When they walked in, I forgot the fact that N
Naya's POVLeaving the house? What? Why?I continued asking myself so many questions concerning what Zach just told me. What he was saying wasn't making little to no sense to me.What did he mean by we have to move to another house?Instead of killing myself with so much overthinking, I decided to ask him directly. "What do you mean by that? We have to move? To where?" I asked him, and I felt him tense up against my back.He moved his hands away from my waist, and slowly backed away from me. Before parting his lips to speak, he crossed his hands against his chest, and stretched a leg forward, making him look like one of those fashion models that used to be shown on television."Where else? We can just move to my other house, the one that's farthest from this house. Do you get what I'm trying to say?" Zach said, and bent his head to the side. He started staring at me, waiting for an answer, but the truth was that I had no answer for him.I didn't understand what he was saying. Well, it
Zach's POVSomething was suddenly up with her. The way she told me off, and pleaded with me to leave her alone, was not right. I thought she always wanted me by her side, not leaving her alone. I mean, the way she always shivered anytime I touched her always confirmed that. So, what is so different now?Or, was it because I told her that we were moving? It couldn't be that, could it? It wasn't as if I also wanted to move, but I figured that that would be the best thing for us, considering the fact that my pack members couldn't do without coming to see me.Another reason why I told her that we had to move was because the house that we are in is the closest to the pack house, so there were huge chances of my pack members always coming to see me. And I wouldn't have liked for her to witness our horrible pack fights.Naya told me not to follow her, but I badly wanted to. Something was telling me to, but her words were ringing in my head, telling me not to. Nothing could happen to her, rig
Zach's POVNaya's injury...It was getting healed, when it happened a few minutes ago. How could that be possible? It was so weird. I raised my head to see how Naya felt about it, and when I saw the confusion in her eyes, I understood that she didn't know what it meant."Can you see this?" I asked her, pointing to her injury. She bent her head to inspect the injury, but she raised her head almost immediately. She shook her head repeatedly, and crossed her hands against her chest."It's my injury, and it's still bleeding. Aren't you going to do anything about it other than staring at it like there's something wrong with it?" She asked, while giving me a small frown. Things were becoming too weird really fast. Naya's injury was healing and I could see that, but she couldn't? No! That's out of the ordinary.I told her to wait for me, while I went to get my dad, even though I didn't want to. I knew that my dad was going to stop us from leaving or even tell us not to leave again, but I sti
Naya's POVZach left a few seconds after his dad left, and I was left alone in the living room. The maids weren't even in the room at all, they were busy with other things. I really wanted to go to my room, but I couldn't, because anytime I tried standing up to just get something, the sharp pain usually stopped me, and I'd just collapse on the chair, with several hisses escaping from my mouth.I was sure that the reason why Zach was acting a bit off about my injury was because he had planned for us to leave the house and move into another, before getting injured. If I had listened to him and allowed him to follow me, maybe I wouldn't have been that injured. While waiting for the doctor, I rested my head against the chair and I closed my eyes.My mind casually drifted to the question Zach asked me earlier. He said something about witches...it was so out of the blue. How did he even think about it? I didn't know, but I feel like the main question here is why did he ask me?Witches aren'
Zach's POVThe injury was getting worse, and I didn't know why. She just stepped into a trap, so why was the injury getting worse by the minute? The fact that the injury was even looking like it was getting healed a few minutes ago, and now it's getting worse, was so overwhelming. That could only happen to someone that was either a werewolf, a special one at that, or a supernatural being. The confusing part of it is that Naya is neither. She's a human, human! So, I didn't know what was with all the weird signs that I was seeing all over her injury. When I got inside, I just assumed that the pack doctor had told her that the trap she stepped in wasn't an ordinary one, the way her eyes probed when she saw me. She looked really scared, I was scared too. The trap that she stepped on was laced with some kind of portion that only one person could identify. My father.I dropped the trap at the door, and Naya instantly asked, "so, when is my burial?" As scared as I was about the situation, I
