CHAPTER TEN.

Tegan once more cried all the way to her bedroom. Her life was gradually becoming a living hell in that castle. Her heart constricted. It hurt like it was being cracked open by an ax. Her head was so heavy, she felt like it would fall off from her neck. Her eyes hurt from crying too much and her throat felt sore from all the shouting and swallowing she did back there. It was like she had swallowed one hundred toothpicks at once. She leaned on her closed door and dragged her body all the way down to the floor. Suddenly, the numbness of her body began dissipating. Her blood pressure rose and anger made its way to the forefront of her consciousness. She snapped her head up and looked ahead.

“I have to stay strong.” She murmured. “I can’t let that girl win and most importantly I cannot afford to offend Alpha Kai to the point where he kicks me out of this castle. That will be the end for me. Father will have me punished severely. He has planned this for a very long time. I can’
