My teeth clattered as I walked around the cold night. The cave could have been warm for me but it was too cold and dark to make the trip up there. Also the issue with the rogues, I didn't want to get hurt.

Xander's revelation about the maid's death filled my head and a horrifying image of how the slave must have looked after getting mauled appeared in my head.

Her death was still a mystery to me. How did she end up dead? How did she even go missing? My legs felt tired so I slumped tiredly at the side of the house wrapping my arms tightly around myself and praying to the goddess to keep me safe.

And Sydney, why was she acting strange? Did something happen? No matter how hard I thought about it and wished for answers, nothing became clear. I got even more confused about everything. So I decided to stop thinking. At this point, it was causing me more harm than good.
