CHAPTER 25

I spent the night in what I've come to know as Agnia's room. No one tried to wake me up so I slept until midday. She went about her activities and returned often even bringing me my lunch but I couldn't eat anything at the moment.

I forced myself to get out of bed and take a bath while replaying everything that happened last night. I should have listened to my gut instinct. I should have never told him that Athena was involved. It was clear that he would never do anything to hurt her and now I've put myself in more danger with Athena.

After my shower, there were clothes on the bed. I changed into them and Agnia came in with a smaller plate this time. My stomach grumbled and I happily accepted the meal. After eating, I wanted to take the dirty plates to the kitchen but she stopped me.

"Let me do it," I said but she already had the plates in her hand.

"You should get as much rest as you can get. Don't bother yourself with this" her voice was comforting and I could also detect pity. S
