Chapter 21: Run away

Noah’s POV

Her words take a moment to register in my head. “I, Amelia Beckett reject you Noah-“ Hunter takes action and throws our mouth over hers, cutting off her rejection. My heart feels like it has splintered into tiny fractions of what it should be.

How could she do this? I thought we were fucking making ground. I thought I was being clear with my intentions.

After a moment I feel her give up on her words but I need to make it clear in order for me to let her go she can not continue the rejection.
