The scorching sun threatened to fry any skin that dared to stand underneath it, but after about fifteen minutes, the sun began to set.

It was a most beautiful sunset, casting a golden glow on the entire earth in its wake. Mira stood at the court anxious, excited, scared. It was a barrage of emotions.

She wasn't sure what to expect from her private meeting with the most popular boy in school. Yet, she was super happy to be talking privately with her life long crush.

She bit her index fingers feverishly and had to forcefully stop herself when she noticed she had started bleeding around her cuticles.

After waiting for what seemed like an hour, she resigned her fate and assumed he wasn't coming anymore.

'I was so excited that I forgot to carry my phone from my locker. I don't even know what the time is and mom might start worrying about me. I guess I'll just go back home now. I don't know why I thought the cutest boy in school was suddenly interested in me. I guess they were all right
