Chapter Twenty Three

After spending about three hours with Sia and her mom; Samantha only had one thought in her head. She was lucky. Sia’s mom had been suffering from a terminal illness for the past two years and she had nobody except her daughter, Sia to take care of her. Samantha tried to imagine how Sia had survived for the past two years but nothing was coming to her head. She didn’t know how sixteen-year-old Sia had survived by having her only family in the hospital.

“I hope Sia isn’t bullying you,” Sia’s mom said for the hundredth time and Samantha let a wide smile spread across her lips.

“Not at all. She’s good to me” Samantha replied there was a knock on the door and a man with a white lab coat and the nurse who had greeted them earlier stepped inside.

“I heard you finally brought someone” the man started speaking and a smile coated his lips upon seeing Samantha who immediately nodded at him in greeting.

“Hello,” the doctor greeted.
