Nathan’s POV

The family headed out to Oscar’s diner for breakfast. Zander had stayed over at a friend's place last night, so he was going to join us later for the Rangers game. I had part of the security team watch Zander, which was quite easy, since the security reported they had basically ordered pizza and played video games all night.

We walked into Oscar’s and were greeted by Louise.

“Well, well, well. If it isn’t our favorite customers, the Michaels,” Louise said, smiling.

“Louise, so great to see you,” Amelie said, reaching out to Louise’s outstretched hands to hold them. “How is Oscar doing?”

“He’s laid up today,” Louise frowned. “His hip is getting worse.”

“Oh no,” Amelie expressed. “Louise, do you need part-time help managing when Oscar isn’t around?”

“We are actually looking for someone,” Louise stated. “Do you know someone?”

“My friend Betty, the lady from my hometown, has moved to New York City,” I explained. “She owned and ran the diner in town.”
