"Evelyn, what am I supposed to do? Ethan's in danger because of me. This is the first time I've involved him in my operations, and he got shot," Mara sobbed, her voice trembling with emotion.

"Don't blame yourself, Mara. It was inevitable. If you had handled it alone and he found out, it would've been much worse," Evelyn tried to reassure her.

"But where is he now? We only have less than three hours left, or his condition will deteriorate. Where's my darling husband? Where?" Mara's voice quivered with desperation and fear.

"Adrian arrived a while ago. He went out with Lucian. Let's hope they bring us good news," Evelyn informed her.

"Evelyn, when Lucian and Adrian return, I need you to go and investigate the incident. Meet me at the hospital afterward, and keep it discreet. The incident occurred on Princeton's Road. Search the area and gather evidence. I'll ensure they're held accountable for what they did to my husband," Mara instructed with determination.
