Vanessa’s POV

After Rodri left in a hurry, I went to my baby’s room to meet mom changing his diaper.

“Morning mom.” I greeted as I walked to her.

She was about to say something to me when her phone started ringing.

I went to where her phone was laying on the bed with the intention of taking it to her when I saw who the caller was.

‘Mike’ was boldly written on the screen with two angry emojis.

“Why is he calling you and where is he?” I asked mom in anger.

“Who.. ohh…”

“You’re still keeping in touch with him. Right?”

To say I was mad was an understatement. How could mom still allow that good for nothing manipulative bastard to talk to her whenever he wanted?

“It’s not like that, I haven’t…”

I picked up the call, placed it on speaker phone and took it to her.

“What do you want from me, Michael Sterling?”

“The nerve of you to call my name like that?”

“Since you have nothing to say, I'm hanging up.” Mom retorted.

I gave her a thumbs up with a smile. If only
