The next day was as tedious as ever. Chase refused to give me any leeway.

He disregarded the relationship between us.

"Photocopy these papers for me. Three copies for each page." Chase said before he handed a set of papers to me.

I grumbled softly.

I made sure it wasn't loud but I expressed my displeasure.

"You are not cutting me some slack at all." I said as I clutched the papers.

I was getting nowhere with Chase. I did all I could.

I dressed well.

I made sure I made slight touches in the boundaries of decency as a way to tempt him.

I try every way to showcase my good side.

Still, I was getting zero response from him.

His dark eyes would look at me with a devouring gaze sometimes. That was all I could get and it didn't prove anything.
