Seventy six

While they were taking their ice cream, Alex's phone beeped and when he checked it, he realized that it was Lucy. He had spoken to her a week ago and had promised to show her to Isabelle the next time she called.

"It's Lucy," Alex said and Steph moved closer to him excitedly, as the face time came on.

"Hey Lucy," Alex said.

"Stephanie, it's been a while," she said and Steph waved at her.

"Yes, it has," she said.

"Is Isabella there? Been meaning to see her," Lucy said.

Steph had Isabella on her laps and Alex turned the phone in their direction.

"What a lovely girl," Lucy said.

"She looks like the perfect mix of the two of you. I don't know how to describe it," Lucy said with admiration on her face.

"I am so happy for both of you. You deserve this and all the good things that life had to offer," She added.

Steph and Alex smiled.

"How have you been? Will you ever come to visit?" Steph asked. She had missed Lucy a lot and she realized it only when she moved back to Alex's place.
