Chapter 4;Speak of the she-devil

Elvis's car sped into his building, and the automatic gate closed behind them. Javier was the first to exit the car, storming into Elvis's house in a fit of anger as he kept cursing endlessly under his breath, while Elvis followed behind, finding amusement in the incident that had occurred an hour ago. He knew that was the reason for Javier's anger.

Javier sat angrily on the couch, still struggling to believe the audacity of the woman who had slapped his face without any fear. He was curious about her identity.

"Can you believe that lady? She was so brave and full of energy. I'm still stunned that she wasn't even scared of you like the others," Elvis exclaimed, laughing as he sat down on the couch opposite Javier.

Javier glared at him and scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Ladies like her still exist! Whoa!" He continued to praise Natalie non-stop.

"More reason why I'm going to make her life miserable. I will ruin her," Javier growled, clenching his fists, plotting revenge against Natalie. He was seriously planning on the best revenge for her.

"You don't mean it. Come on, it's just a slap." Elvis blunted and burst into laughter.

Javier gave him a murderous glare, causing Elvis to stop laughing and raise his hands in surrender. However, he was still cracking up in laughter, but he tried as much as possible to muff the sound in his throat.

"Can you stop laughing already? It's getting me even more pissed off. And just so you know, I've already called my men. I want her biography, I want to know everything about her so I can easily destroy her," Javier revealed with a sly smirk forming on his lips.

"Come on, Javier. You shouldn't have gone that far. Besides, it was all my fault. If not for me, none of this would have happened. Can you just let it go this once?" Elvis pleaded with him, realizing the seriousness of Javier's intentions.

"You know me well enough to know I don't take shit from anybody, especially not from ladies. She crossed the line, Elvis, and she's going to pay for it," Javier stated firmly, having made up his mind.

Elvis gave up. "You should just take it easy on her," he sighed sadly.

"I'm not promising you that."

They sat in silence for a few minutes before Elvis remembered something.

"Javier!" He turned to him with furrowed brows. "You never told me about your date with Olivia."

"I don't want to talk about that," Javier mumbled, putting more weight on the couch.

"But I want to know, so start talking already," Elvis insisted.

"Can you believe that old fool, my father, paired me up with that bitch because he wants me to marry her?" Javier exclaimed, frustration evident in his voice.

"Wait, your dad set you up on a date with Olivia because he wants you to marry her? Who does that? Hasn't he heard about her sleeping with her bosses to get ahead? Didn't he see her sex tape all over the internet? Why does he still want you to marry her despite everything?" Elvis questioned.

"I don't care about his selfishness. I won't take shit from him," Javier declared.

"You know, I think I know his reason," Elvis thoughtfully muttered. "Remember you told me Olivia's dad wanted to partner with your father's company because he went bankrupt? I think Olivia's dad is behind all this marriage stuff. He wants you to marry Olivia to make the company stronger. We all know how selfish and cunning Olivia's dad can be. He'll do anything to get what he wants. He's tricking your dad and using his daughter without her even knowing." He concluded, his words holding some truth.

"I just hate that bitch and I won't have anything to do with her," Javier expressed his disgust. "I have to put her in her place, or she won't leave me alone."

"And what did Ronnie say about your health condition?" Elvis asked, changing the topic, concern evident on his face.

"He said... there's no solution unless a miracle happens. Look, I've lost hope in all of this. I think I'll have to live like this for the rest of my life," Javier admitted, tears welling up in his eyes as he buried his face in his palms.

Elvis stood up and sat beside him, his hand caressing Javier's shoulder sympathetically. "Javier, it's not over. I still believe there's a solution to this. Don't give up yet. I'm here for you, and I won't give up on you. So don't give up on yourself. We're in this together," he murmured softly. "We'll find a solution."

When Javier looked at his best friend, he saw tears streaming down his face. Elvis always showered Javier with love, care, and support without hesitation. Their love for each other was deep, like the bond between brothers.

Javier couldn't help but chuckle softly at Elvis's heartfelt words. "Okay, enough. I'm the one who's feeling vulnerable here, not you. So stop crying like a baby." He teased, but inside, his heart was hurting.

"Stop saying you're vulnerable. You still have a fighting spirit," Elvis scolded, pouting his lips as he playfully hit Javier's shoulder. "Just know that I'm always here for you," Elvis said, staring into Javier's eyes.

"Yeah, kiddo, I know," Javier chuckled, playfully hitting him back. Elvis glanced at his wristwatch and suddenly stood up from the couch.

"Come on, buddy. It's past 9:27 p.m. already. Let's go to your clubhouse and grab some drinks," he suggested, looking at Javier expectantly.

Javier leaned back on the couch, closing his eyes. "Can't we just grab one here? I don't feel like going anywhere." He whined, tiredly.

Javier was feeling down about Ronnie's report on his condition, and his father had made things worse with the marriage situation. But Javier was a stubborn soul who grew up hating his father's control over his life decisions.

"Who would believe that Javier, the billionaire, has this childish side?" Elvis laughed, pulling Javier up and dragging him outside to his car.

After forty minutes of driving, they arrived at Javier's clubhouse. The sound of music filled the air. Javier stepped out of the car at the same time as Elvis.

Javier was taken aback when he saw some familiar figures approaching him. He wondered why they were here. "I didn't invite you, Mac. What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Oh, you guys are already here. Perfect timing," Elvis interrupted, addressing Mac.

Confused, Javier looked at Elvis and his father's security team. They stared back at him, causing him to furrow his brow.

"Daddy's boy always prioritizes safety," Elvis teased, flashing his annoying smile as he walked past Javier toward the entrance.

Elvis always treated him like a child, which infuriated Javier. However, he knew how to handle him. He would save his revenge for another day.

He hurriedly increased his pace to catch up with him and they both entered the building together. The club room was filled with voices, as dancers performed on poles in the center of the room, gracefully moving their bodies in a captivating manner, enticing Javier to join them.

They continued to flirt with him, revealing their slender figures to him. However, he paid no attention to them. secretly hoping that one of them would have the audacity to approach him, just so he could set an example for all the women present, both here and elsewhere.

He swiftly took his seat next to Elvis at the bar area, who was observing everything. "The ladies' man!" Elvis exclaimed, shouting at the top of his lungs.

"There's nothing but disgust for those whores," Javier scowled. The bartender quickly approached them, apologizing for not realizing Javier was there.

"It's fine. Javier has already forgiven—"

"James, you're fired. Get out of my presence this minute, you poor thing," Javier yelled, interrupting Elvis.

James knelt on the floor, pleading desperately. "Please, boss, don't do this to me. This is my only means of survival. I have ten kids to feed and bills to pay. Please don't take this job away from me. I beg you."

To Javier, the bartender's pleas were completely futile as nothing could sway his decision. Immediately, Javier summoned Mac, who promptly approached upon seeing Javier's hand signal. "Mac, remove this repulsive man from my clubhouse immediately, before I lose control," he commanded in a chilling tone, his expression devoid of any emotion.

Immediately Mac stormed James and quickly grabbed James by the shirt, lifted him off the ground and hoisted him onto his huge shoulder, carrying him out of the club. But James wouldn't stop screaming at the top of his lungs to be given a second chance. However, Javier wasn't in for his drama.

"Javier, you shouldn't have done that," Elvis murmured, showing pity for James.

"He got what he deserved. Just let it be," Javier yelled, calling the manager to get a new bartender. The new employee quickly ran over, avoiding eye contact with Javier.

"Get me a bottle of red wine and two glasses. Be quick about it," Javier ordered, his voice cold and disgusted by her presence. She hurried off.

"Why does he have to employ a Lady? "Elvis, you—" Javier let out a sigh of frustration as Elvis failed to pay attention. Elvis remained fixated on the entrance, leaving Javier curious about the reason behind it.

"Talking about bad timing!" Elvis whispered under his breath, his mouth hanging open as he continued to stare at the door. Javier followed his gaze and saw her standing there.....

"Speaking of the she-devil!" Javier scoffed.
