Towards evening, I was seated alone drinking red wine. Hayden left me to greet some business partners in attendance.

The party ended already and I must confess, it was fun but I happen not to like the celebrant.

“Hey” I heard a feminine voice behind me.

I turned to see Layla. I scoffed and answered. “Oh hi”

“Hope you enjoyed the party?” She asked casually and I wish I can scream “we aren’t friends” in her ears.

“Yeah” I answered not in the mood to exchange words.

She said nothing for a while and then finally sat beside me.

“How did you do it?” Was the first question she asked.

I furrowed my brows and looked at her questionably.

“I mean how did you get Hayden to marry you?” She asked, trying to cover up the anger on her face.

“Excuse me?” I faced her.

“I believe you heard what I said just now. So tell me how? Hayden isn’t the type to mingle with ladies talk-less of getting married”
