Chapter One Hundred Seventy

Eve covered her mouth with the back of her left palm to prevent a loud gasp from slipping out.

"Do you realize what you are saying, Olivia?" She managed to ask.

The phone speaker filtered Olivia's giggle to her ears. "Oh come on Eve. Don't be such a bore. I'm setting you up on a blind date, not some shady stuff."

Eve began to swing her head from left to right in filial objection as if Olivia was in the restroom watching her. "This is a terrible idea Olivia and right now, I don't think I'm in the mood for any blind date or...." She was still speaking when Olivia sharply cut in.

"What's the matter with you Eve? When was the last time you went out on a proper date?"

Eve shook her head.

"Cut the crap. You are going for this date and I'm not taking no for an answer. Trust me, I've got you on this so there's nothing to worry about." Olivia said.

Eve knew that convincing Olivia to drop off the decision will be an impossible endeavour so she surrendered after a sigh and mumbled a "Fine."
