Chapter One Hundred Thirty Seven

Eve took graceful steps down the street. She was dressed in a floral purple gown and tied her hair into a loose bun. While fixing her make-up that morning, she noticed the sudden change in her weight after facing the dressing mirror. She couldn't help but wonder how possible it was to lose much weight in a week.

She adjusted the black bag that hung around her arm and hailed a cab. Immediately after stepping inside the vehicle, she heaved a deep sigh and pressed her bag to her chest wondering what awaits her at the office.

After she got to the company, she met a group of security personnel at the entrance who took turns greeting her and asking about her health. She knew it, word had gone around the company that she was involved in an accident with the CEO.

At the reception, the workers who were heading out and others who were marching to their units stopped to greet her. She smiled faintly at them and almost got tired of telling them that she had fully recovered.
