Andrew thought of how he would bring up the topic about Mandy's father.
"Mandy, can I ask you a question?" Andrew asked gently.
"Yes?" Mandy nonchalantly looked at Andrew and then turned back to the television. She didn't notice the solemnity on his face.
"Mom told me that you already knew who your father was. Do you want to find him?" Andrew asked in a cautious manner.
Mandy suddenly paused from chewing the popcorn in her mouth. She didn't expect that sudden question from Andrew. She was too dumbfounded to answer. She gazed at him with a questioning look.
"I'm sorry, I should not bring it up." Andrew apologized when he read her expression.
Mandy assumed that Andrew was already aware of the story as well. "I-It's okay. I haven't thought of finding him yet. He didn't bother to find us, so why should I look for him?" She answered bitterly.
