Lisa ate the food in a rush. The maid stared at her in awe. She wasn’t surprised though, she’s heard that women who are pregnant eat a lot and she has just witnessed one.

Lisa paused and turned to the maid and noticed she was smiling at her. Her cheeks turned red in embarrassment. She didn’t notice she was eating so fast.

“The food is delicious, “ Lisa said as she cleaned her mouth.

“Thank you, “ the maid said and then it crossed Lisa’s mind that she doesn’t even know the new maid’s name. She had forgotten to ask her for her name.

“What’s your name?” Lisa asked

“My name is Maria, ma'am but my friends call me Ria” she smiled as she carried the plate Lisa used for eating and washed them.

“Ria” Lisa muttered as the memories of Ria the maid came rushing into her head. She remembered the first day she had come into Alfred’s house and how Ria had stared at her with hatred. It was the first-day Ria had seen her that she hated her. She wondered why?.
