The spark

It was 2pm already and Alfred was supposed to have a meeting with the investors but he was just too lost in thoughts to know what time it was.

Suddenly, he heard a knock on his door and he raised up his head as whoever knocked on the door walked in.

It was Andrew again. “What do you want?” Alfred asked coldly as he dropped his mom’s picture back from where he took it.

“Sir, you have a meeting by 2pm. It’s 2:10pm already. The investors are already waiting “ he said and Alfred nodded in response.

“I’ll be there in a jiffy. You can go” he said as he picked up his phone from on top of his desk and suddenly he heard a loud thud. It was Andrew, lying on the ground unconscious.

“Oh my goodness!! Andrew “ Alfred yelled and then picked up his phone and called the secretary.

“Call the ambulance “

“Andrew, Andrew, please open your eyes” Alfred yelled and suddenly he felt a warm liquid slide down his cheeks. He was in tears.
