Chapter 6

"So what did your old man tell you?" Cameron asked his friend as he began to mince the garlic and ginger. The pasta was already cooked, and he was trying to strain it.

"He said I was getting married."

"What the hell?" There was a crash, then sounds of plates shattering as they hit the floor. "Oh shit." He exclaimed, looking at the damage on the floor.

"Yeah, it was shit indeed." Nicholas replied, shaking his head as if in deep thought.

"Fuck you, Nik; you don't spring up such a thing on me like that; now look at what you have done." Cameron exclaimed, looking down at a broken China. "Can you get a broom and dustpan to tidy this up?" Cameron asked his friend while he selected another garlic clove and started mincing it.

The sauce was still boiling, but it was almost ready.

Nicholas brought what was asked of him, and he carefully packed the broken china before proceeding to dump it in the waste bin. He came back to the kitchen to see that his friend had already finished cooking and
