CHAPTER 8

( Cassies’s POV)

I got dressed ready for school and remembered the conversation I had with my mom the day before. Even though I wasn't okay with her suggestions, I had to do it. She was my mother and was struggling to make ends meet.

I wore ripped blue jeans, a white shirt, a brown duster jacket with grey sneakers. I looked in the mirror to check out my face and appearance after dressing up. I needed to apply a little make-up to my face before going out of my room. I bade my mom goodbye and got out of the house to flag down a cab.

I was lucky to get a cab on time. A few minutes later, the cab pulled over in front of the campus. I alighted from the cab, paid, and walked in. I had the intention of talking to Pamela that day. I was ready to talk to her about the pregnancy and my decision.
