It's just a show

Selin

As I opened my eyes, the white ceiling approach, and a beep sound kept on hitting my ears and when I looked around I saw a machine near to me.

What happened to me?

I felt weak and could not even move myself.

What am I doing here?

Thoughts were running through my head as I realized that I slowly remembered what happened earlier. My eyes widened and I quickly touched my belly.

"My baby!"

I panicked and called the nurses and doctors that could help me to know if my baby was still here. I pressed the device that was on my hand and I keep it steady until the doctor arrived. My tears are already sweeping the makeup on my cheeks which I didn't mind at all because my baby was more important than anyone else.

"Calm down, Ma'am,"

I looked at the doctor and saw that she was holding a syringe and pointing at me while the nurses were holding tightly on both of my arms. I tried to pull back but it’s useless.

"Please, don't put that thing on me!" I screamed but it was too late because I felt sleepy once again.

Murmurs that was surrounding me as I tried to open my eyes but it wasn't practical enough because I lose consciousness because of the meds they put in me.

I wish my baby was fine.

After a while of being slept I felt a warm hand on me and as I slowly opened my eyes I saw a figure that was not clear enough to my sight.

I could not even hear the words from that person and suddenly when shook me, my vision went back and saw my friend beside me with a worry on her face.

"Selin, are you okay?" she asked and held my hands once again.

I rolled my eyes in weakness that I felt and the surroundings was still not normal for me.

"What happened to me?" I asked curiously and tried to get up

"Don't force yourself, the doctor told me that you should rest until your energy will back to normal." she smiled and stared at my eyes.

"Tell me the truth, Selin, Did he hurt you?" a soft tone of her voice with curiosity was filling the entire room

Then, I sparingly smiled at her and pressed gently on her hand. "Don't worry he's taking good care of me."

"But, why are you full of bruises? The doctor were asking me about it and good thing I notice it now." her tone of being suspicious was making her doubting on my words.

"You know accidents happened everywhere, right?" I tried to convince her with a more genuine tone of voice and gestures.

The doctor just nodded her head and left.

Silence suddenly filled the spaces between us and Cena. I'm just fortunate enough to have her in my life, ever since we were high school Cena was there to help me in everything. Actually she's my sister at heart and having her by my side was indeed a blessing for me.

"I- I understand if you don't want to tell me about it, Selin but..." she paused and a tear escaped from her eyes. "Please, if hurt you again, leave him."

"Cena, don't feel pity on me. I am happy with my life and with Demir, nothing I could ask for more." I hugged her and quickly wiped off the tears on my cheeks.

I felt her sobbing and I understand about her sentiments on me. Cena is a happily married woman with three kids and I knew she felt my pain, but I should never let her sank from it. I showed her my braveness and smiling was also a part of it.

"Demir," Cena said.

My eyes widened after hearing his name and let out a heavy sigh before I looked at him. I gave my best smile and met his eyes with full of questions on his mind.

"I got to go, Selin. Call me if you need something." Cena looked at Demir and didn't say anything at all and just left the room.

Silence fill in the room once again and it was like two strangers was there, and no one wanted to speak. I could not even stared at him. I knew he's mad but could he skip this time?

Demir just stared at me and lightly shook his head, "What did you do?"

Frightened can be traced on my face and as I tightened my grip on the sheets then answered, "I- I just stood up from the floor and felt dizzy..."

Demir narrowed his eyes on me and clenched his fist as if he knew the answer already. "Liar! Ever since I met you, you're just a liar!" his tone was only on his side and staring at me was making his blood boiled once more. "Can't you be honest for once, Selin?"

"Demir, it wasn't my fault, it was just an accident!" I said emphatically and felt the tightness of my chest.

He laughed and tightened his fist. "Accident?! You did that just to let me be here with you."

I inhaled deeply and didn't answer at all. I didn't want to argue with beacuse I felt the tightness on my chest already.

"Is the child still there?" he pointed on my tummy and felt all his anger wanted to burst out in our child.

I didn't answer and just let him accused me on what I hadn't done to our child but why was he asking me this question.

“You really know how to bring a disgrace on my name.” Demir continued and let out a heavy sigh while he was trying to light up his cigar.

My tears wanted to roll down, but I was trying to hold it back. Every words were scaring an inch in my heart. I still didn’t understand how big my sin to him was, and how would I able to correct it? He accused me with all those allegations that weren’t true and never hear my side about it.

He leaned closer to me and in just a blink of an eye, his hand tightly gripped on both of my cheeks and I saw the demons through it. 

"You will give up that child or I will make him suffer for the rest of his life!"

I tried to pull back myself but he was just stronger than me and pressed harder on my cheeks. I knew what he could do and his connections were undeniably wide.

“How could you even say those words? This is your child!” I said emphatically.

Tears ran down and everything went blurry, as he whispered those words to me I felt like dead. He wanted me to abandon our child but why? I could not understand everything.

“How long are you going to force that child on me, huh?”

Is this the reason on why he was treating me badly after our marriage? The only option he had just to escape from having those responsibilities or being a family man.

"I don't understand, we promise each other in front of the judge and to a lot of people, Demir why are you saying this to me?!"

"Because it was all just a show, Selin, and let me remind you that you are just part of this grand show.” then he pointed me and continued. “You started this, and I am giving it to you."

He stated coldly and threw my face violently. I could feel the pain on my face as I hit the metal rod behind me.

"I am giving you 12 hours Selin, abort the child or your family will suffer!"
