Chapter 30

Ryan’s point of view

“Thought you should know, your grandfather is currently in coma with your aunt and uncle,” I said to her as soon as I reached her.

She scoffed and shrugged with a raised brows, “I’ll try to care,” came out her cold response.

She doesn’t even look interested in what I have to say, and was more focused on Donna who was trying to get a nail on Seb’s location.

“Count your days here Vee, I’m gonna get you out of here soon and ruin whatever plan you have to mess with either me or Seb.” I shifted my body to block her view so I could speak directly into her face.

She eyes me from above down to my feet, her glare the tip of an iceberg. “Shouldn’t you be worried that your man is on a date with a potential boyfriend?” She morphed a quizzical look at me.

Suddenly, the urge to ball my fisted palm into her guts took shelter deep inside of me, and I fought the temptation of how good it’d feel. She’s such a pain in my ass, and for what?

Chapter 31 Sebastian’s point of view “Where’s this?” I asked as soon as we arrived at the venue Xavier told me he scheduled our appointment with the potential client. I’ve never been here before but if I’m not mistaken, this is like an inward playground for lovers. I mean it’s so obvious, even a dumb cow would be able to tell. Who could be this client? The owner of the business? No offense, but this looks super cheap to me and wouldn’t benefit me in any way. “I asked you for a second chance didn’t I? Begged for it even, but you refuse to give me. So I decided to scheme you into having fun with me.” He broke into a wide smile as he took my hand and dragged me alongside with him inside. We got inside and the first place he took me to was to stargaze. This isn’t what I’d like to do on my Tuesday afternoon, not when there’s a lot on my plate to filter through. “Yeah I’m gonna have to call this date a quit. I need to go call someone, Ryan specifically. And then I’m leaving, Ry

Chapter 32Ryan’s point of view “Yeah beat his ass! Mess the bitch up!” I heard Donna chanting. Adrenaline pumped higher into my system as I increased the force of my punch, he was now unconscious, bloody and I still had no intention of stopping. He was going to regret what he did or the games he think he can play. “That’s enough!” A familiar voice phrased with concern, forward by a touch on my shoulder that sent chills through my blazing body. I halted the punch I was going to nail on his head, and found myself getting off of him and stepping back. It was only then I realized what I’ve done or the damage I’ve caused. I looked around to see camera flashes in the air, and it wouldn’t take a genius to figure out that they’ve recorded all that recently went down. There’s no fixing for my social image and reputation now, it’s finally ruined and shattered completely. I like to think it was worth it, but I hope I’m not wrong. I hope Seb will listen to me, forgive me, and we can finall

Chapter 33Sebastian’s point of view My body tinged with a cold that had me stuck in a choked daze. My limbs were numb, and my system felt dead. I presumed I was blindfolded with the trenched darkness that veiled my vision. Also, I could feel the harsh binds around my wrist and ankles to the wooden four legged chair I was seated on. ‘H…’ I moved my swollen lips to make an utterance, but couldn’t and instead broke into a shiver as my teeth drummed in cold. I was wet all over, there’s no doubt my captors had been bathing me consistently with the coldest water to spring me back to consciousness. Millions of thought raced through my brain, in raid. Who were those guys? What was their motive for abducting us? Someone must have sent them, who? Was it an enemy on my side or Ryan’s? A lot of questions! I heard the sound of the door creaked open, that announced the entry of a presence. Soon footsteps clicked and clacked to where I was. I deduced the presence is of a female individual,

Chapter 34Ryan’s point of view I woke up on a soft surface, stunned by reality as I forced myself to sit up and inspect my surroundings. I was in a richly furnished room, with luxurious designs. What the fuck? I tried to get down, but got pulled back into the bed. It was then I noticed my left hand was cuffed to the bed. My feet were also bared, though I remain clothed. What happened? I know we got kidnapped, but how did I end up here and where is Sebastian? No one was around to sort out the venting in my head. There’s no doubt whoever did this is from my side, else why would I be held down in the most comfortable way. The only distress I seem to be in is my cuffed hand to the headboard, nothing was done to me. And the fact that I can’t say the same for Seb has my nerve on a rocket. Is he okay? How is he at the moment? Where was he held? I just want to know his predicament. “Hello?!” I yelled out into the empty room, perhaps my voice would be heard and someone would come into

Chapter 35Sebastian’s point of view In this life, three things are important to me to be able to survive and remain strong. The first is your sense and how you utilize it at all times, the second is your ability to communicate effectively as well as understand your surroundings, and lastly is how you adapt. I never had a secret security team hired for me. It was a build-up lie to get my freedom and appear powerful so something like this wouldn’t repeat itself. Though after thinking about it, I think it’s a great idea and will consider turning it into a truth thing. I’m gonna find myself a secret security service that works to protect me and fight for me in secret, only in secret. Julie Growan out of fear let me go, and promised not to come after me again if she doesn’t want to end up crippled or hospitalized by my nonexistent men. While I ride back home to clean up in a car she personally gave to me so she could be on my good side and that I’d actually keep to my deal of keeping

Chapter 36Ryan’s point of view Lucky for me I hit a success with my escape out of the house. The stupid guards were too busy chitchatting about each other to notice me speed off in my car. Once I was far from them, I took my phone and quickly dial Seb’s phone number. I have no idea what my mom has done with him, and I forgot to ask that dude about it. My call rang out and there was no answer. I decided to call Donna and inform her about the situation, she could call the cops to report a case on him. And I could lure my mom out and see if she’d fess up to what she’s done with Seb. Donna picked on the first ring, “Are you okay?” Was the first thing she asked, as though she’s been expecting my call and already knew of what happened. “Well yeah, what’s up?” “Seb told me how you guys got kidnapped by your mom. I’ve been trying to get to you since, but your number wasn’t connecting.”“Is Seb okay?” I asked about the part I care deeply about. “Yeah, I spoke to him some minutes ago an

He’s become worse in my view, but better probably in his own twisted mind. “You broke into my home, wired down my security system. Don’t tell me you just wanna say hi, get on with it?” I told him from where I was seated, well relaxed and not a single stress on my face. He tsked repeatedly with a wry grin as he walked closer to where I was, both his hands held behind to hide whatever he doesn’t want me to see yet. “That’s no way to welcome your blood now is it?” His head angled at me like a maniac before he brought to light the hands he had hidden, a gun was in his left arm and he slapped it on his thigh. I looked dully at the gun, then back at his face. “Don’t make me cringe,” I said back in reference to how he called us blood. “We share the same blood from our father, don’t be cruel now Sebastian, acknowledge that.” I did

Chapter 38Ryan’s point of view “How about you start on how you got out of prison,” I suggested from where I’m sat. This is Sam, I’m very familiar with the bastard, but can’t say the same for him. Perhaps the years he’s spent in prison has challenged his memory to forget about some people to the point he’s unable to recognize me anymore. It doesn’t look like he knows who I am, that I’m Ryan. He’s treating me only as an acquaintance of Seb who walked into the wrong moment. He went silent as soon as he heard my input, then suddenly focused his attention on me as if finally his brain clicked on a hint at my familiarity. “You!” He pointed the gun at me with a squinted gaze. “Ah yes I remember!” His face lit up, as he pulled his stance backwards. “What was that your name again? Ryan whatever. Would you look at it, they’re still together after all these years? Finally married to each other or still each other’s stupid best friend?” I watched his eyes trail down to my hand to inspect my

Chapter 66Ryan’s point of view I could no longer return the day I planned to, not after the attempted murder incident. Marcy was traumatized, a sight forced me to stay back, care for her like the amazing husband that I am and cancel my plan to return home or postponed it. I chose the later, postponed it till the next day instead. The next day came quicker than I anticipated, and I was quick to get back on plane flown to LA. Marcy didn’t bother to escort me this time, still conscious of yesterday’s incident. For the rest of yesterday, I couldn’t get through to Seb or Donna either, for both of them to not have reached out or answered when I called them. I have a feeling there’s something going on over there. My mother was still notably absent, and refused to let me know on whether or not she’s okay and doing good wherever she’s gone to hide. I wonder if she’s in contact with Vivian. Vee, I’m sure she’s back to scheming now that Seb has caught up to her lies. Even if mom isn’t in c

Today was however, another day for me to tackle with the bald fuckers on my board committee. Those fuckers are always up to something, but the fear they all have for me is what keeping them all in check. That fear won’t last long, I need to constantly remind them why none of my enemies have ever triumphed. Not now, not never, and not in the nearest future. Donna came in early as usual to prep me up on why the board has requested a meeting. It has to do with the recent rumors of me and Ryan, and how the headlines might affect the growth of their invest. “Seriously they’re just old drunks, don’t mind whatever they have to say. You do you, and remind them who the boss is,” Donna said after she was done going over the few hiccups we’ve been dealing with over the weeks. Other than the alliances I’ve struck with t

Chapter 64 Ryan’s point of view It was finally the time for me to leave. Marcy had came up with a random excuse to keep her family off doubts on why I’ve decided not to spend the promised time I intended to spend with them. Words were a personal problem came up in my business back at home that needs my urgent attention, and that was enough to sway them off any questions and rather came to bade me goodbyes. They are were nice except for the creepy uncle and told me how eager they are to accommodate me next time, which I promised them won’t be long. But between myself and Marcy, my next visit would probably be in the two or one year at least. Marcy has decided to escort me till I board my plane before she leaves back for the palace, and her mere presence had several medias and paparazzi on our trail from the gate of the palace till the airport’s vicinity. “Is this really how it’s always been for you?” I asked in regard to all the cameras pointed at us on our way to a private pl

He wouldn’t release my psycho brother from jail just because he wanted my downfall, the same brother he knew tried to kill me and nearly had me forever on life support. I simply refuse to think he would. I was seated patiently in the darkness, he should be here in One… Two… The door creaked open, and his hand went straight to the switch. Upon giving light to the room, he met me seated right on his bed, backed up to the headboard with a small remote with just a single button on it. “Mirroring my moves I see,” he said, but I smiled back at him. “I upgraded it,” I told him before I slammed on the remote I have with me and brought down the machine mask also with me over my face. Soon enough, gas flooded out and began to smoke up the whole room. I watched him struggle to react against the gas, but soon fell victim and collapsed on the floor unconscious. It was only then I jumped do

Chapter 62Sebastian’s point of view It just goes on to prove that Ryan truly was a white snake under a white armor, he was no knight for me at all, he’s a snake and has always been. I remember the night Donna came for a sleepover at my house, when she told me about the arranged engagement. We spoke about it all night and kind of agreed that there’s no way Ryan would actually consider the arrangement. Yes at that time a part of me believed he wouldn’t do it because he said he’s in love with me, while the other part just didn’t want an old friend to get into a lifelong of unhappiness. But little did I know that I was the fool, because tell me why Ryan was captured hand in hand smiling as he secretly exit the court with his new wife beside him. I recognized the chick, it was the same girl she brought with him to the club. Why do people betray? Like I’m genuinely confused, why do you feel the need to break someone’s trust and shatter the loyalty they’ve built up for you? Is it a fun

Chapter 61 Sebastian’s point of view “It’s either you forgive me or I fire you,” I threw at her the moment I saw her walked through the door into my office. I was tired of the malice, as much as I preferred her silence, I hated that she was doing it with a negative mind. I couldn’t care less about her attention, but I just wanted us to be back on a good page. Afterwards, she can go back to ghosting me, that I can pray for. I’ve given her chocolates, gifts, money and any other things I could think of to get her forgiveness. At some point I even told Ryan to talk to her for me, which he did and he told me that she wasn’t interested in talking about the beef between us. Ugh! “What do you mean Sir? Forgive you for what Sir if I may ask?” She feigned ignorance, her brows perked in confusion. “Don’t play dumb with me. I’ve apologized, what else do you want?” I raised my tone a little bit at her, enough to show just how far this little game of hers is starting to annoy me. “Apo

  • The CEO’s Private Desires    Chapter 60

Chapter 60 Ryan’s point of view I might be right about the weird uncle after all, he’s been onto me forty hours later of our arrival. He requested a personal audience with me, but Marcy refused the honor once I told her about it. She said that uncle of hers was not to be trusted or someone nice to be around. Said I must try and avoid him at all cost. Marcy was at an event at the moment, an event that doesn’t much require my presence so I opt for a walk in the gardens instead. A fine chance for me to get a hold of things back at home, I haven’t had the chance to call and speak to Seb since we arrived here. We’ve been stuck with balls, parties, royal events and more. It’s been stressful. Seb finally picked my call, probably at the last ring. “Hello,” his cold handsome voice rang out into my ears. “Tell me you’ve missed me,” I asked of him jokingly. “That’s until I’m informed of who this is. Who are you?” He hit back. I chuckled lightly at his words, he’s only playing along

Chapter 59Sebastian’s point of view “Wakey wakey little brother, get out of that dream world already.” I tapped repeatedly on his cheek until his drowsy eyes slowly pulled wide and apart till he jerked at the sight of my face. Good one! He’s awake. His head snapped around for a three sixty room inspection. Oh we’re no longer in his apartment, or even somewhere neat enough to conserve his death. I brought him to my private warehouse, where I’ve gotten most of my darkest shit done.“Where are we? What is this place? You?” His furious gaze trailed back to me, deadly and a sight for me to laugh at. I let out a deep breath before I stepped back from him. “This will either be the place you die or the place where you save yourself,” I began, then turned my back and walked over to the table in the room with us. On the table was a tray that carried various items that I’ve had provided for me to draw on his blood and carve pain into his skins. There we have a blade, dagger, a lot of sharp

Chapter 58 Ryan’s point of view I don’t know if my mom was running away from the house, but she hasn’t been around ever since I got married. Today is the day Marcy and I leave for her home city, and mom still hasn’t show up for me to inform her as well as talk about Seb with her. I spent the whole of yesterday with Seb, so I had time to tell him about the trip and how much I wish he could accompany me. He told me even if Marcy had allow me bring him, he wouldn’t have accepted my invitation because he doesn’t have any business with my contracted wife’s family. I don’t know if mom is scared to confront me or exactly why she has refused to show her face, but it’s starting to get less suspicious and more frightening. Is she okay? I’d ask Vivian about it, but I’m sure she doesn’t care, albeit she’s an exact replica of that woman’s witchy persona. Seb told me he fired her already. And I’m more than happy to hear that, her away from Seb is a long space away from bad things. I cou
