“Please don’t leave me alone… he will lock me up in the bathroom again… It’s so dark there… the smell makes me feel suffocated… I was so scared of the darkness. Alaric's body slumped against her shoulder and fell to the ground. The soft thud snapped Sienna out of her trance. Her eyes widened in panic as she saw Alaric lying on the floor.
With great effort, she managed to turn him over so that he was lying on his back. She patted his face and rasped, “Alaric… Alaric… please wake up.”
