Third POV

Enzo leaned back in his chair, chuckling softly as Miss Maria placed a plate of warm pastries on the dining table. The kitchen’s soft glow made the room feel almost peaceful despite the chaos of the previous night.

Miss Maria wiped her hands on her apron, giving Enzo a pointed look. “You should eat more, dear. You look like you’ve been through hell.”

Enzo smirked, picking up a pastry. “You’re not far off. It’s been a long night.”

Miss Maria clicked her tongue, shaking her head. “That boy, always stirring up trouble. You’d think he’d finally settle down.”

Enzo arched a brow, intrigued. “Boy?”

She gave him a knowing smile. “Cassiel. I’ve known him since he was a child. Always had a temper, that one. But a good heart, buried somewhere under all that stubbornness.”

Enzo couldn’t help but laugh. “Good heart? You must have seen something the rest of us missed.”

Miss Maria waved a dismissive hand. “You just don’t know how to look. Cassiel hides it

Third POVThree figures sat in a dimly lit room, their faces obscured by dark, heavy cloaks. The room was silent except for the faint hum of a machine in the corner, casting eerie shadows on the stone walls. The figure in the center leaned forward, gloved hands folded together. “He should have known better,” the man murmured, his voice low and gruff. The one on the left shifted slightly, the sound of fabric rustling. “He underestimated Cassiel. That was his first mistake.”The third figure, seated to the right, scoffed. “His mistake was arrogance. He thought he was untouchable.”Before the center figure could respond, the thick wooden door creaked open. A guard entered, bowing his head, and carefully placed a sleek tablet on the table before stepping back into the shadows. With a tap on the screen, the tablet flickered to life, showing a gruesome image. Alexander’s lifeless body, sprawled on the hospital floor, blood pooling around his torso. His eyes we

He adjusted his grip on the gun, breathing slowly, his pulse slowing as his instincts took over.Enzo watched him, a shiver running down his spine. "Cassiel... what are you planning?""Stay behind me," Cassiel whispered, voice chillingly calm. The first attacker rounded the corner, and Cassiel didn’t hesitate. A single shot rang out, precise and unforgiving, the man crumpling to the floor, his blood pooling on the steps.Another came charging, but Cassiel moved like a shadow, sidestepping and slamming his gun into the man’s temple, shattering bone. The man collapsed, gurgling, before Cassiel coldly fired a shot into his skull.Enzo tightened his grip on his own weapon, but Cassiel’s presence was suffocating, terrifying. He didn’t move, couldn’t move.Cassiel didn’t bother looking back. More footsteps. He smiled, eyes glinting with sadistic satisfaction. He grab

Third POVCassiel’s phone buzzed, breaking the tense silence in his office. He picked it up without looking away from the city lights outside.“Cassiel,” Dr. Lee’s voice came through, steady but slightly urgent. “Enzo has been stabilized. Do you want me to transfer him to a private ward?”Cassiel took a slow breath. “No. I’ll come and see for myself.”He hung up, grabbed his coat, and left the office without another word. Within minutes, he was at the hospital, his presence commanding attention as he moved through the corridors. Nurses nodded in acknowledgment, but he didn’t pause. His steps were purposeful as he reached Enzo’s room and pushed the door open.Enzo was sitting up, fully dressed, despite the bruises still visible on his face. His gaze was sharp, the tension in his body evident.“You look like shit,” Cassiel muttered, though his tone was softer than usual.“Better than being dead,” Enzo shot back, his lips curling into a smirk. “Did you find

Third POVCassiel walked briskly to his car, pulling out his phone as he approached. His voice was low but firm as he dialed a number."Send a team to the hospital. Armed guards. Secure every entrance and exit. Now."The response was immediate, and Cassiel ended the call, slipping into the driver’s seat. His knuckles whitened as he gripped the steering wheel, the bloodstains on his shirt a harsh reminder of the chaos that had unfolded. He started the engine, his thoughts racing as he pulled out of the hospital parking lot and headed home. The drive felt longer than usual, the events replaying in his mind. Enzo, blood-soaked, barely conscious. Cassiel had wasted no time getting him to the hospital, demanding the best care while keeping his emotions locked down. There was no time to process it—only to act. When he arrived home, Cassiel pushed the door open, his steps quick and purposeful. As he moved toward the bedroom, Julian appeared, his face pale, eyes wide wit

Third POVIn the dimly lit room, the tension was palpable. The table before them, covered in shiny stones, seemed to reflect the growing heat of the argument. The two men faced off, the silence growing heavier by the second."You think this is some kind of game, don't you?" The man with the furiously twitching jaw barked, his hand gripping the edge of the table. His voice was low but sharp, a barely-contained fury simmering just beneath the surface. The man with the pigeon-cloaked design didn’t flinch. His eyes, though focused, remained calm, almost calculating. “I know exactly what I’m doing. Do you?”“I’m not the one who attacked Enzo without warning!” The first man slammed his fist down on the table, his knuckles white. “You’ve thrown us all into the fire, and you’re acting like it’s nothing. Cassiel will tear us apart—”“Cassiel is distracted,” the pigeon-cloaked man cut in, his voice cold and controlled. He barely even raised his tone, but his words carried

Third POVRenata sat in her dining room, glaring at the spread before her. The table was full of all her favorite dishes, but the sight of them only fueled her anger. Her hand twitched to grab a fork, but it was useless. Her body felt stiff, unwilling to respond. She sat there, seething, when a man in a black cap stepped forward, interrupting her thoughts."Care for a smoke?" he asked, his voice calm, unbothered.Renata didn’t even look up. “When did you get here?”The man smirked, his expression hidden beneath the cap. "Not long ago. Take the cigar." He handed it to her, the scent of tobacco thick in the air as he placed it between her fingers. She held it for a moment, glaring at it. Then, she snorted and took it. “What now?”He ordered the maid to clear the table and bring out the liquor. The servant quickly left to do as he was told. The man stepped back, watching her with a steady gaze.“You’re sure about this?” His tone was casual, but there was an

Third POVIt wasn’t a long drive to Enzo’s apartment, but it felt endless. Cassiel’s hands gripped the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white. He couldn’t shake the ominous feeling that clawed at his insides. When he finally reached the apartment, he noted Enzo’s car parked out front. Cassiel killed the engine and strode up the stairs two at a time. He rang the doorbell, once, twice—no answer.“Damn it, Enzo!” he hissed, pounding on the door. Still nothing.Cassiel took a step back, assessing. The door was locked, but not for long. With one well-aimed kick, it flew open, slamming against the wall. Cassiel stormed inside, eyes darting around the disarray.“Enzo!” he called, but his voice faded when his gaze locked onto the motionless body sprawled on the living room floor. Time seemed to slow as he moved closer, his heart pounding in his ears.Cassiel knelt beside Enzo, flipping him over. Blood had soaked through his shirt, his face pale as death.

Third POV Cassiel stayed silent, his mind racing. He knew Valerian was trying to get under his skin, but something about his tone hinted at more than just idle threats. “You’re quiet,” Valerian mocked. “Did I hit a nerve? Or maybe you’re finally realizing how sloppy you’ve become. You’re too busy playing house with that pet of yours to notice the wolves circling.” “You know nothing about my affairs,” Cassiel snapped. “Oh, but you see, I know plenty,” Valerian taunted. “Including how Bash is in your little nest. Thought you could hide him from me? I’m not as clueless as you think. I’ll get him back — and I’ll enjoy tearing apart every inch of your life to do it.” “You’re delusional,” Cassiel shot back, but a hint of doubt crept into his voice. “Delusional?” Valerian barked a laugh. “Then why are your guards turning up dead, Cassiel? Check your precious cameras. Or have they already been taken out too?” Cassiel’s he
