Chapter 3

ผู้เขียน: Serein M
The blade sliced through my skin.

Flesh peeled back. Hot blood spilled out. It dripped onto the marble table.

"Hold her tight!" Stella shrieked with joy.

Julian pressed me flat against the edge. His sick breath hit my ear.

"Hurry up and die, Vivian. I can't wait to collect your money."

My heart turned to ice. The man I loved was pure evil. The pain ripped a scream from my throat.

"Ahhhh!"

Stella raised the bloody cutter again. This time, she aimed right for my eye!

I jerked my head in pure terror.

The blade missed my eye but slashed my temple. It cut deep to the bone. Blood instantly blinded my left eye.

"Hahaha! Serves you right!"

Stella, Julian, and Chloe looked at my bloody face. They laughed like lunatics.

I was breaking. The pain was blinding. Even my breaths tasted like blood.

I let the blood drip off my chin. I glared at them through a crimson haze.

Even bleeding out, I gave them a look of pure death. That look pissed Stella off even more.

"Still glaring at me?!" Stella fumed. Her wicked eyes dropped to my right hand. "You're a painter, right? Let's see you paint without a hand!"

"Julian! Pin her right hand!"

Julian was loving it. He slammed my right hand flat onto the marble.

He drove his knee hard into my lower back. I couldn't move.

Stella turned around. She grabbed a heavy bronze statue from the desk.

She lifted it high. She aimed at my hand and smashed it down with all her might!

"Ugh!"

Bones shattered. The world went black. A muffled groan escaped my throat. Tears poured down my face.

Agony ripped through my nerves. My right hand was completely destroyed.

"No... my hand..." I sobbed in absolute despair.

Stella leaned in close. She wanted to watch me suffer.

I gritted my teeth. I used the pain. I threw my entire body forward and headbutted her right in the face!

My forehead crushed her nose.

"Ahhhh!" Stella shrieked. Blood spurted from her nose. She stumbled backward.

Her face twisted in pain. She lunged at me in a fury. She grabbed the lace collar of my dress and ripped it!

The cheap lace tore. And she violently yanked the old silver necklace off my neck.

It was my mother's dying gift. Julian always thought it was cheap junk.

Clack.

The silver pendant hit the marble floor. The cheap silver shell cracked wide open.

The room fell dead silent.

Because out of the broken shell, a heavy, solid gold medallion dropped to the marble. A dark falcon crest gleamed under the lights.

It was the Valenti family's most sacred token. The ultimate symbol of power, held only by the Don himself!

Stella stopped screaming.

She stared at the unique token on the floor. She knew exactly what it meant.

Pure terror swallowed her alive. She shook uncontrollably. Her lips turned pale as she backed away.

I didn't care about my torn dress. I looked at the door with my bloody eyes. I roared with tears and despair.

"Victor! Get out here and look at what your damn men are doing!"

Hearing the Don's name again made Stella crack.

To hide her massive fear, she screamed louder. "It's fake! It's a fake token! You cheap bitch! You dared to forge the family crest!"

"Julian! Strip her naked! Throw her to the auction block right now! Let a hundred men take turns with her!"

Julian's eyes flashed with sick excitement.

He didn't hesitate. He reached out his dirty hands, ready to tear off whatever clothes I had left.

Just as his fingertips brushed my skin.

The Mafia Boss, Don Victor, stepped into the room. He brought an icy chill with him.

Stella and Julian jumped. Then they instantly switched back to their disgusting, ass-kissing faces.

"Don Victor! You're finally here!" Julian dropped me. He ran up to him like a dog.

But Victor didn't even look at him.

His ruthless, cold eyes cut through everyone. They locked dead onto the marble table.

He saw me. He saw the blood everywhere. And he saw his wife's golden token.

He was the cold-blooded tyrant of the American underworld.

But right now, the ruthless tyrant froze. Shock, heartbreak, and pure apocalyptic fury shattered his cold mask.

I fought through the agonizing pain. Tears and blood dripped down my face. I gave him a hopeless, broken smile.

"Daddy..."

After the banquet, inside the estate's study.Victor stood before me, holding the solid gold family crest that had once fallen into a pool of blood. It was the most sacred symbol of power in the Valenti family."Vivian." His voice was full of pride and relief. "You've proven yourself."He fastened the necklace around my neck himself, the cold gold resting against my skin. "From today on, you are the true head of this family."I stroked the crest, feeling its weight. It wasn't just a piece of jewelry; it was proof of absolute power."I won't let you down, Daddy."Over the next few months, I took over all the family's core businesses with an iron fist. Underground casinos, venture capital firms, money laundering networks, and black-market deals spanning the entire East Coast. My methods were even colder and more decisive than Victor the Tyrant's. The stubborn old guard eventually bowed their heads to me in total submission.Late one night, I was going over the casino books. The numbers d

I sat in my wheelchair, looking down at the man who used to think he was so smart. There was still a sliver of hope in Julian's eyes. He thought I'd get soft and let him go.How naive."Julian, before you die, I have some good news for you." I spoke as softly as a mother coaxing a child to sleep. "About that venture capital firm you were so proud of."Julian's pupils shrank violently. He desperately tried to speak."Three days ago, the Valenti family officially swallowed your company whole," I continued. "All the assets, including those shares you bought with my money, belong to the Valentis now.""No... impossible..." Julian groaned in despair."And your parents." I smiled as if sharing a fond memory. "Didn't they always dream of moving into a Manhattan penthouse?""They just got kicked out of the slums by loan sharks and are living on the streets. Oh, and I put the word out. Not a single soup kitchen in New York will dare give them a drop of water."Julian's eyes bulged like they wer

Half a month later, I woke up in the master bedroom of the family estate.Sunlight filtered through heavy drapes onto silk sheets. The air smelled of expensive perfume and antiseptic.I raised my left hand and touched the carefully stitched scar on my forehead. Then I looked down. My right hand was wrapped in thick bandages, completely numb. The hand that used to paint the most beautiful sunsets in Manhattan couldn't even hold a glass of water now.I was done with brushes forever. The naive, idealistic artist died in that VIP room."Vivian?" Victor walked in. Seeing me awake, his eyes flooded with immense relief and guilt. He rushed to the bed and gently held my left hand."My little girl, you're finally awake." His voice choked up. "I'm sorry. Daddy failed to protect you."I looked at him. No tears, no resentment.Dancing on the edge of death had given me perfect clarity. Mercy only made you a victim. The only way to crush fate under your heel was to hold absolute power."Daddy." My v

The iron doors of the basement were kicked wide open.Victor stepped into the damp, dark hellscape, backed by a dozen heavily armed men.He stared at the three bloody figures hanging from the chains. His eyes were dead cold.Julian lifted his swollen face and recognized him."Don Victor!" he wailed, clinging to a false hope. "Please, have mercy! Vivian... she loved me so much! We were together for five years!""I know I fucked up! But please, for the sake of her love for me, spare my life!"Victor walked slowly over to Julian, his leather shoes splashing in the puddles. He leaned in and grabbed Julian's jaw with his bloodstained glove, forcing him to look up."Five years of love?" Victor's voice was as light as a feather, but sharp as ice. "And it was this five years of love that made you treat my daughter like a piece of meat to pay your debts?"He let go and slammed his foot down on Julian's shattered kneecap."Ahhh!!!" Julian screamed, his body convulsing in agony.Victor ground his

Victor strode out of the VIP room with me in his arms. Julian's broken sobs echoed behind us."No! Don Victor! I didn't know! I swear I didn't know she was your daughter!"The heavy doors shut, cutting off his screams.Inside the elevator, I leaned against my father, feeling his body shake."Daddy..." I rasped weakly. "I thought... I thought I'd never see you again."Victor looked down at me, the violent rage in his eyes replaced by profound heartache."Never. That's never going to happen," he said hoarsely. "Daddy won't let anyone hurt you ever again."A private medical team was already waiting downstairs. I was rushed to the top-tier private hospital owned by the Valenti family. The red light over the ER doors flashed on. The doctors kept Victor outside. He paced the hallway like a wounded lion, radiating a suffocating murderous aura. No one dared to get close.Meanwhile, down in the soundproof interrogation basement of the casino.Julian, Chloe, and Stella were hanging upside down f

Julian, the fucking idiot, didn't even realize the Grim Reaper was right in front of him.He saw Victor freeze and thought the Don wasn't happy with his "offering.""Don Victor!" Julian crawled up to him like a desperate mutt, eager for a pat on the head. He pointed at me and actually spat in my direction with disgust."This is the whore I brought to cover the fifty-mil gambling debt. Please don't mind her, she's crazy!"Julian smiled, practically begging for approval, completely blind to his own death sentence. "This bitch actually dared to call you 'father' earlier. Even pulled out some fake junk to put on a show. I'll strip her naked and tie her to your bed so you can break her in..."He didn't even get to finish. No warning. Not even a single angry shout.Victor drew the Browning from his waistband. Pointed it down.Bang! Bang! Two deafening shots. The smell of gunpowder instantly flooded the VIP room. Blood splattered everywhere.Heavy-caliber bullets blew Julian's knees into a bl
