A trap

Amber woke up to see Miss Peyton seated beside her and she sat up, her hands running through her face as she felt it squeezed - she must have cried a lot.

"How are you feeling now?"

"I'm fine. Thanks for staying with me"

"Poor you! You have so many things to worry about."

"Was that lady really your mom?"

"Yes, why? She isn't the one that murdered your relative?"

"No but how did you get that necklace? It must have been in her care"

"My mom gave it to me"

"Where is it? Lend me for some minutes"

Amber climbed down the bed, went to her drawer, opened it and brought out the necklace and handed it to Miss Peyton.

Miss Peyton ran after Jenna and caught up with her outside the gate.

"I'm ... sorry to bother you, ma'am" she said, her hands on her knees and she grasped for breath

"It's fine, what's wrong?"

"This necklace, Amber told me you gave it to her"

"Really? It doesn't look familiar, I never gave her that. I have to run along now"
