I had wanted to spend the whole two weeks in the room. But I drew the curtains, grabbed my clothes and left. She was calling after me, screaming my name. I couldn’t believe that she had been so selfish. All this time she had been keeping it quiet, because she was thinking of getting rid of it.

This was our first official fight and I hated myself for behaving this way. After all, a woman has rights too, but what about the guys? I had millions in the bank. I could have hired someone to look after the baby if she wanted to go to work. So be it. I had never thought about being a dad until now, but the whole idea that I could potentially have been one and never known about it, made me fucking angry.

“Don’t go.”

I ignored her plea. I opened the door and left. I couldn’t talk when I was angry; all the things would come out the wrong way. The best thing to do was to be on my own. I felt as if I was going to explode.
