Santiago And Emily
It's been two months since I came back to Miami. I miss Stefano terribly; I just wish he could be here with me. We talk almost every day; everything is going well between us. If someone told me a few months ago that I would be looking forward to my facetime call tonight with Stefano, I would have said that person is mad. The Stefano I met in Sicily four months ago isn’t the same Stefano I have been dating for two months. I love the new Stefano; I am actually happy I fell for the other one, it means I like him no matter what.
Things are also going well at the office. Once I came back, I did as I said I would and asked HR to hire Emily. Working with her so far has been good, but I haven’t told Santiago that I hired her. Santiago hasn’t been around the office a lot, so he hasn’t seen her yet. I plan to tell him today while we are having lunch.

It's been a few days since I found out what Santiago did. I haven’t spoken to him since that day. I am furious at him for toying with Emily's heart like that. I am on my way to pick up Emily from her house to drive her and her mom to the hospital. Emily's car broke down, and I offered to drive them to the hospital, I also wanted to visit her mom. If I was talking to Santiago, I am sure he would have made sure I gave him feedback on how Emily's mom is doing, but I won't. I know I can't be angry at him forever, at least I should punish him a little by not talking to him for a while. I park my car in front of Emily's house and walk to the door to knock. I don't really like the neighborhood she is living in; it looks a little dangerous. I will talk to her about moving to another place. This is not the place Emily used to live when we were in high school. She must have moved places after her dad died. After a few knocks, Emily opens the door.

After mom leaves, I finish packing all the things I need. I am about to walk out of the room when I hear a knock at the door again. I tell the person to come in, our maid, Sarah, steps in. Finally, we are on our way to Stefano's penthouse. I can't believe I spent the whole evening waiting for him at the warehouse after we hadn't seen each other for two months! Once we get inside, he leads me straight to his bedroom. What I see when he opens the door takes my breath away. There are scented candles everywhere, and rose petals on the bed. "Stefano, what is all this?" I ask, smiling at the romantic scene in front of me. I am on my way to the airport to pick up Aurora. She came to the US to see her monster of a boyfriend. I don’t know why she would visit someone like him. I will find out once I see her and we talk. After a few minutes, I arrive at the airport’s private plane area. I step out of the car and see Aurora walking out of the plane. “Andrea, how are you doing?” She says, descending the plane stairs. “I am good. How are you?” I say, walking closer to the end of the plane stairs. “I am good too, how are things with Stefano?” “Things are amazing between us. I can’t wait for him to arrive on Thursday this week. I miss him,” I say, smiling as I think about how things have been going great between us. I help her put her stuff into the trunk before walking over to the driver’s seat to get going.

The following day, while on my way to meet Stefano at his hotel room, I take a detour after getting a call. I message Stefano to tell him I will be a little late. I drive to the address sent to me on my phone. I arrive after a few minutes of driving. I walk inside the restaurant with a lot of thoughts going through my head. The one that sticks out the most is how he knew I lived in Miami; but I will find out once I see him. "Hello Ivan," I say once I reach his table. We arrived a few hours ago, I am so sleepy, but I can't sleep. As soon as we landed, we went to the warehouse to determine how much damage was done. I am so happy I came, the anger surging through Stefano is enough to destroy a whole city. He is furious about losing more than half of his weapons here in California, the fact that he can't find the person responsible is not helping. I do not know what to say to make him feel better, but I know my presence here is enough. I am in his office waiting for him while he tries to find out more information about the fire. I get sleepy and try not to fall asleep, but the next time I open my eyes, I find myself in Stefano's arms, moving towards a bed. I must have been exhausted to have slept through the ride all the way back to his apartment. I don't say anything to him as he places me on the bed.
