The phone kept ringing, but Dorothy wouldn't pick up after seeing the caller's name. Ever since Finn's incident, she had decided to cut herself off from the Florence family. They were the reason of the major loss of her life and they made her believe she owed them a favor.

A knock sounded at the door, and Chole stepped in. Dorothy's face brightened slightly.

"Chole, how are you?" Dorothy greeted cheerfully.

"I'm good, ma'am. I just came to say goodbye and drop off a little present for you," Chole said, taking out a small box.

"It's not much because I'm still trying to save money, but I hope you'll accept it," she added, handing the box to Dorothy.

"Thank you," Dorothy smiled. Barely a second later, Shalom stepped in with a wrapped box. Chole couldn't help but roll her eyes—something about her felt off.

"Miss, I'd love to say you're the best person I've ever worked with, even in such a short time. I hope you'll accept my goodbye gift," Shalom said with a smile, handing over the box.
