From the time Amaris mentioned that it was going to be the full moon, I had been restless. Normally, every female wolf begins to go into heat on every full moon once they come of age. Same with men but that cycle was very different from ours. From the time, I became eighteen, I’ve had my heat. It was painless and easily manageable.

I even discovered a way to dull my scent to avoid the attention of inmates males. But once a female meets her mate, it changes completely for her. Heat becomes the worst nightmare with unimaginable pain and desire for their mate. This acts as a way of forcing the couple to mate faster. If a male marks his mate as soon as they meet, the next gear is only filled with desire and no pain.
