Chapter 50 * Back Home* 

I woke up with a heavy headache and a parched throat. When I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see Claire and their parents talking to Clyde near the front door. When my mind flashes back before I fall asleep I quickly glance at my body and I sigh in relief when I see I am dressed in a nice long-sleeved black shirt and a pajama.

“ Oh she’s finally awake, How are you feeling darling?” Amanda asked not so far from the huge bed. I cleared my throat and Clyde was there next to me in a blink handing a glass of water.” I drank it empty and smiled at everyone.

“ I think I got the flu, sorry.” I apologize bowing my head.

“ Oh dear, don’t be. You should rest more and let’s reschedule our lunch when you get better.”

“ Sorry but we're heading home tonight Mom.” Clyde butted in.

“ But what about our dinner at home?” Amanda looked sad that I grabbed Clyde’s hand.

“ Have dinner with your mom and dad Clyde, bring our son. I’ll be alright as long as I take a med.”
