Author's POV

Despite the fact that the phone was now on the floor beside him, the image hadn't left Dominic's head. His eyes were glued on the leather headrest in front of him but it flashed continuously in his vision.

He could see her, chained to the chair, eyes closed and swollen. He saw the thin bones that had begun to reveal themselves on her neck. Dominic hated that the image didn't stop, not even if he tried to force it away.

It was right there.

He picked the phone up and went back to

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    A Place Made For Us

Author's POV Sage stared, mouth open in surprise. She looked at the huge room and everything in it, then back at Dominic. She didn't quite understand what exactly she was looking at. A part of her could guess but it felt like jumping into conclusion. She had to ask and so she did, “What is this?" Her voice was raised a little due to the way her heart raced in her chest. It was a combination of excitement and genuine surprise. Dominic who didn't usually smile let out a small smile, “It's your new and official room. But it isn't the only thing here. There's still more to show you" His words registered but just at the back of her mind. Already, she was entering the room fully to see for herself. The bed was bigger than anything she had been in, even her former room. She was sure it would contain four people comfortably if she wanted it to. Her hands reached for the mattress and it surprised her at how comfortable it felt. It wasn't so soft like her current one but neither was it har

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    Divided Loyalties

Author's POV A few days agoCyrus wasn't sure what to think or do. There had been no news but he could feel in him there was something. He paced the office, eyes on the window in front of him. Something had happened, his heart skipped a beat at what it could be. Just then he heard his phone ring on his table. Cyrus didn't waste any time to rush over and pick the call. He felt his spirits raise in delight when he saw who the number was. It was exactly the person he wanted to hear from. “Tell me, is there any news?" He spat immediately, there wasn't any patience left in him. The male voice broke through the silence. “She has returned just a day ago. I saw her with my very own eyes. She does not have any injuries and there seems to be no harm done to her." It was a harsh whisper. Cyrus's heart raced a little. It was good news, despite the confusing way it came, it was still good. He knew he had to ask, his mind would be restless if he didn't. “Is she safe there? Does she seem happy

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    Truth Beneath The Magic

Author's POV Dominic had just sent a letter to the only historian he could trust. Jacob, an old friend to the kingdom. He owned the biggest library in the world and important documents rested in it. He even had the original copy of the greatest war that broke across the kingdoms. If anybody else knew where that document was or could be - he would. Dominic knew he was just grasping at straws. He had searched for months and had continued to do so; they had made no discoveries. There was a part of him that knew nothing would be found even here. At that very moment, he sat in the sitting room as he waited for someone important. He had called her just to confirm a few things for him. It wasn't that he didn't trust Sage but he didn't trust the people she had been with. Even as he battled so many things in his mind, he battled the one truth. The thing that he had done to her people - that was if it was ever confirmed. Maybe she didn't remember what happened but what if she did? When she r

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    A King Challenged

Author's POV It had been two days since Sage's return. Dominic physically felt the air in the palace brighten up. He could note that the servants didn't cower back in fear at his mere presence. All throughout her disappearance he had experienced an explosive temper. He had also visited the garden a little more as well as the training room. His soldiers were happy with his presence. Despite all the time he spent making everything good again - like it had been before Sage's return, he hadn't spent as much time as he would like with her. It was always one person or the other spending it instead of him. His mother had begun to spend more time with her, an action that surprised both the maids and he. Whenever he went to her room, she was either sleeping and resting or her mother or his were with her. They both warned him not to stress her too much. Today he decided differently. As a mate, he had fulfilled one goal - getting her back. It didn't matter that they had brought her back them

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    A Fragile Return

Author's POV Sage let herself be led by his mother. She was nice, welcoming like she hadn't been before. She remembered clearly the snide looks and remarks she had gotten from all three women. It didn't surprise her that Madam Elsie wasn't even there. As she had expected, Theresa didn't look at her with any more love. Lily didn't look any happier that she had come back. She was sure both women wanted her dead. She wondered why Gabriella didn't feel or act the same. She could feel Dominic behind them. He was the protective presence she had craved for so long. She was here now, she could only hope she would be safe with him. She remembered how much she wanted to tell him she missed him. A part of her had wanted him to lean down and kiss her. Her lips ached to be covered by his. She wanted to be pulled into his large and comfortable hands, shielded from the world. Maybe it wouldn't happen immediately but she knew it eventually would. Her eyes didn't linger on anyone else's even though

  • The Lycan King's Pregnant Healer    Found But Not Forgiven

Author's POV The present Dominic's heart raced when he saw who it was. Her eyes slowly opened and he caught them with his. It was her. He stared in both shock and disbelief. He didn't move at first, he was unable to. It looked like a dream. Except it wasn't. Sage sat right in front of him, eyes on him. She had been tied to the chair with ropes. Her eyes moved from him to the men behind him and then back to him. Dominic was both frozen and speechless. He couldn't believe what was happening. “You" he whispered before he realized that it wasn't a dream. It was all real and she was there. He didn't say anything else. Instead he rushed to untie her, heart racing in his chest. As his hands brushed her skin he inhaled deeply. He couldn't believe it was real, that she was real. His body buzzed with both excitement and something he couldn't explain. He had so much he wanted to say but there were no words. Instead he went to untying her legs immediately he was done with her hands. He cou

Sage's POVSomething had changed in me. I wasn't exactly sure what and when it had happened but the hope I had before had vanished. It felt a little like magic. Sage's POV Although the meeting had remained in the back of my mind, I had managed to wake up early. Despite the lingering thoughts of her.
