I walked up to her to see that she was talking about the decoration of the place and how it was going to be.

She noticed my presence and suddenly felt self conscious.

The maid bowed before me as she left us alone.

“I never got to apologize for this morning,” I said as she nodded.

“It’s fine,” she smiled. Her smile was enough to melt the hardest of hearts.

Her skin gave off a color which I knew was only from people coming from rich homes. She had beautiful eyes and I could see why Sinclair had gone for her.

Victoria was not like the woman before me. She was pretty but the comparison was not even close.

“I saw the fight,” she smiled. “You did well.”

“Thank you,” I said. “You didn’t stay till the end.”

“You had him bleeding all over the floor. I couldn't watch you finish him off.”

“I’m a warrior not a monster,” I laughed. “I had been holding back from hurting him but it didn’t work out like that. He wasn’t pulling his punches either.”
