Chapter 9

Ava's point of view.

I was never heartbroken because I never wanted to be close to him. He was only given a chance because of Oliver. I explained everything that had happened between Lucas and me to her, and she felt guilty, telling me she was the one who forced me to accept him as a friend.

"It's okay Oliver, it was never your fault and as you can see, I am okay. He never got to me, and no one can ever hurt me, so can you stop blaming yourself," I told her.

"Are you sure?" she asked me, feeling worried. "I only want you to be happy, Ava.

I blurted out, "I am happy anytime I am with you, and I want to tell you something.

"What is that? She asked.

"I feel uneasy. I am feeling some kind of emotion. It feels so strange," I told her.

"You just need to relax, love. I am here with you. Nothing is going to happen to you with me here," Oliver says.

"Okay, thank you, Oliver," I said as we slept off.
