….. Three days had passed while still in the mafia captive. It meant that my parents couldn't get me out. I wondered what the Italian mafia wanted from me. On the third day, they took me to the Lazza territory after locking me in a room. Mystery surrounded the territory. Normal people could not tell what businesses took place in it. Lazza, the mafia leader, walked ahead of us. I was between two of his men who walked side by side As much as I trusted my parents and Marco to get me out, I still looked around to familiarize myself with the place. The hidden spirit within me longed to escape. On arriving at the mansion's main entrance, Lazza halted, and so did we. His aura felt dark and unfriendly, and his stern look could get your knees succumbing. He turned to face me and I maintained a courageous look on me. Despite knowing for certain that I was innocent, his gaze still intimidated me. “Take her to my office.” He instructed his men and strode towards the east side of the mansion. Even as he walked away, you’d feel his powerful presence. One could bow for his shadows. I watched as he disappeared, but a man suddenly grabbed me and led me in another opposite direction. We entered the supposed office with white-painted walls adorned with several picture frames. The faces weren’t anywhere familiar. Absorbed in my surveying moment, I failed to notice that the two men had left me alone. The office had an enormous office desk with a dark leather chair behind it. While a set of black sofas occupied a different side away from the table. Everything overwhelmed me, so I stood in the middle of the office, clutching my dress as I waited. I ended up wearing the golden dress, which, surprisingly enough, suited me impeccably. After a few minutes, the door clicked open, and I instinctively stepped away. I expected Lazza’s face, but a grinning persona walked in. Someone must have lied to him that his smile looked appealing. I couldn’t help but cringe as I stepped back again. “Well, well, well. Look what we have here,” a joyful voice filled the office. He closed the door and made his way to me with his hands shoved in his sweatpants pockets. I disliked his big, perpetually smiling lips. The guy could swallow a whole fish. “Fuck, she is a gold.” He cussed, then ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m Romeo. You must be worth a fortune?” I did not move when he closed the distance between us. I loathed him already. The audacity to stand in front of me as if we were familiar with each other and his hands on my shoulder irked me. My eyes scanned both his hands before tipping my face to him. “Didn’t your mother teach you manners?” His smile faded. “Well, may she rest in peace, but did you have to insult me?” “Care to get your hands off me?” I shrugged him off, annoyed by his presence. “You are the bold one. I like it.” He chuckled, eyeing me from head to toe. “How much did they buy you for? You must be worth a fortune to be bought while we have a ton of bitches waiting to be sold.” His comment left me dumbstruck. I knew the nature of the mafia businesses, but never imagined it could get to that extent. “You don’t know me.” I asserted, hoping that I was right. “Wait,” He raised an amused brow. “They didn’t explain you the reason for being here?” Walking to the table, he leaned against it, hands slipped under his chest. “That’s sad.” “You have the wrong person.” I couldn’t let his words affect me. That seemed to amuse him. He chuckled. “It’s been a month since I heard they found a fortune girl who they only needed to snatch. And here we are. Wow, my brother is one of a kind, don’t you think so?” I swallowed hard, trying not to take my thoughts to his side of his words. They only caught me in Marco’s place, and that’s all. Then the bloodshed of the chef flashed before my eyes. It has been my nightmare. “I suppose your brother is much of an asshole as you are.” I spat, and the smile on his face faded. “Asshole?” He raised a questioning eyebrow. “Do you have any idea who you are insulting here?” “Do I care?” I shot back and God knew I didn't mean to turn the conversation into a dangerous topic. I saw how his eyes twitched. He harbored a monster within him. “Why am I here? Maybe you’ll be different if you tell me what you want from me.” Exhaling, he stood up and approached me again. “You know, it’s nice to meet you.” He towered over me. “You are the first to misbehave and I like your type. Wait until my brother releases you to the other goddamn whores. I will definitely shut this shitty mouth!” He declared, delivering his insult straight to my face. I tightened the grip on my dress, struggling to contain my anger. The more I stared at his cocky smile, the more it stirred me. “I love sluts like you. I shut them up in bed.” With that, my hand flew to his cheek, planting a resounding slap. That did not satisfy me, but I restrained myself when the door squeaked open. Lazza stepped in. His icy stare shifted from the dick-ass beside me and back to me. I wondered what he saw, and if he knew that this so-called Romeo deserved the slap. “Well, wow.” Romeo chuckled. “Isn’t it amazing that a filthy whore can slap me?” He walked towards Lazza, whose gaze remained fixed on mine. “I would like to have her and teach her some manners.”Oh, I could have slapped him again. “Leave us.” Lazza walked in, leaving the door open for Romeo to exit. “I will see you soon, slut.” The moron sneered at me before leaving. It felt good that I slapped him. It looked like his mother never raised him properly. “Who gave you the right to speak back to a Lazza?” He asked, taking calculated steps towards me. “He insulted me.” I defended myself. “He called me a slut, a whore.” “And so?” He asked, raising an eyebrow. “I am not a whore.” “Do I care? Or does anyone care? What then are you? A queen that everyone needs to bow down to?” He did not insult me outright, did he? “You are what I make you to be!” Refraining from shedding a single tear, I suppressed the lump in my throat. I only needed answers to why I was in his hands. “Why am I here?” “I speak, you listen!” He thundered. “Give me another reminder that you and your fucking family are my enemies, and I won’t hesitate to drive a fucking bullet into your brain.” I refused to agree that it had come to this; that because my father knew Marco, I had to endure all this. I couldn’t endure another day away from home. I could bear listening to my parents fight rather than live this life. An exhale fled as I nodded. “So, I am a whore? How many of us are there, hmm?” I asked, willing to comply if that satisfied him. He scoffed. “You want a number?” stepping closer, he continued, “Four, you make them five.” “Isn’t it amazing?” I asked, fighting the emotions creeping into my heart. No one had ever insulted me like this. “You trap innocent girls and make them your whores, then what are you? man whore? Hm?” That got a nerve in him. His eyes darkened. I could have stepped away, but was I not doing it to make him feel what he made me feel? Why did he look like he could snatch a gun and shoot me then? Was it hard to take what he was serving me? He suddenly erased the space between us and gripped me by my throat. His wrath was visible on his visage as he roughly pushed me behind. My back collided with the wooden table so hard that my skin ached. Sinking my nails into his masculine hand, I attempted to yank him off. The more I did it, the tighter his grip became. My neck fit in his palm, squeezing me so tightly that I struggled to breathe. “Say that again!” He growled, his weight overpowering me and arching my back. “Do it!” I shook my head. My lungs were collapsing as I suffocated. Seeing him kill a lady could have been enough to know him, but why didn’t he kill me as well? “I will decide your fate, woman. You are my fucking property! My pet!” He declared, releasing my throat and pushing me such that I banged my head on the table. Gasping for breath, I wrapped my hands around my assaulted throat. Panting loudly to regain myself again. I had seen death, but never in my life had I thought breathing could be something to relish. “Get out!” He ordered. Soon, the room filled with the scent of cigarettes. “Get the fuck out!” My head still ached in so many ways, making it hard to think or even do what he said. He could take it out on me. A knock resounded, and then the door swung open. Blinking away the tears that had settled behind my eyes, I sat up. Romeo had entered and stood in front of Lazza, both looking enraged. But who wasn’t angry here? “She has a connection with Marco?” Romeo asked. I could feel his wrath. Looked like no one informed him, despite being full of himself. “That’s my business.” Lazza’s low yet cold voice declared. “I have been looking for that motherfucker,” He sniffled and then looked at me. “I am taking her,” he said to Lazza. Lazza didn’t utter a word. He continued smoking. That’s when I decided to walk out, taking the chance the Lazza had offered when he told me to get out. They glared at my silent movements towards the door. It surprised me I could leave the suffocating room without a word, but who was I kidding? “Make another step and I will fucking blow your brain.” Romeo thundered, and I halted on my feet. “Please, give me this one?” He continued to beseech the Don. My hatred for the two grew strong, but I had a bad feeling about Romeo. I wished Lazza wouldn’t agree. I could endure his wrath and his good looks. But I couldn’t stand Romeo’s fury and his ugly appearance. “Take her!” Lazza declared, causing me to shut my eyes. The Midnight Mafioso Hello lovelies. Rodion____Years later___I took a brief inhale to the fresh scent of flowers in my grip. A simple smile emerged at the corner of my lips and a warm feeling settled in my heart.I got upstairs and there, I could feel her presence. Her pure existence was full of Joy, calmness, and grace. The door to the room was open. I sighted her immediately when I stood by the door frame. She was seated In front of a mirror at her vanity desk at the furthest corner of her bright room. She was holding a purple hair comb, busy brushing her shoulder-length black hair. She was clad in a white dress that was as pure as she was. Her tiny back was held straight, she knew what she was doing.I lifted my fist and made a gentle knock. It got her turning to face behind. She suddenly dropped her comb, jumped off her settee, and ran towards me."Papa.""Hello, pri
Alessia____"You may now kiss the bride."As if it was our first kiss, Rodion first explored my face with a look of victory in his eyes. He ran his fingers on my cheek, leaving feathery touches as he pushed the hand behind my neck.I ignored the crowd, the way everyone was cheering us, wanting us to kiss already, but watching my husband take his time to first stare at me felt like heaven. His other hand settled on the other side of the cheek. He used his thumb to caress my skin, down to my lip and then my chin."Thank you." He murmured that I was the only one who heard him. I noticed how his eyes begged me to read beyond the words, to see his heart. Those eyes that once used to scare me, were watching me tenderly. "For being mine, thank you, baby."I nodded with a smile and tears that I had been controlling ever since the wedding started to well up again. "I love you."He bowed his eyes to mine, leaning slowly
Alessia_____I silently watched as Rodion wrapped a scarf around my neck. He towered me, with every part of him attending to me. He loved to offer all his attention to me and forget he had an empire to think of. Even his blood and every sense were acquainted to submit to me."Where are we going?" I asked when he picked a trench coat from the closet. He moved behind me and helped me wear it. It was a black one, similar to the one he was wearing."You will see." He kissed my hair then walked around and stood in front of me. His hands settled on my shoulder then he interlocked our gazes. "You are okay, right?" He asked. I had no count of the number of times he asked me that question, and if he wasn't a man I was madly in love with, I could have hollered because it was too much.I released an exhale. "Honey, if I was not okay, you know I will definitely tell you, right?" I asked way more politely. He nodded and
Rodion_____The cigar smoke sailed in the atmosphere creating a dark cloud between the two of us. I was currently seated with a man who was considered my brother. He was busy smoking while I rubbed my jawline.Yes, I couldn't smoke. My eyes were on my beautiful angel moving around the compound. She was wearing a raven umbrella dress which was above her knees. She would walk inside the house and come out carrying something. It was lovely to watch her.We were currently in the Bungalow which was in the middle of the woods. Alessia loved the place since it was away from everyone and everything.I loved the place as well. It reminded me of my first time with her. The day I tasted her, the day I sank into her sweet streams. The day she moaned for me, giving me all beautiful looks. The day I claimed her.I took a sip of the drink which was surprisingly white wine. It could perhaps wash my desires. She always mad
Alessia______I almost entered the passcode to open the door when Alice grabbed me and pulled me behind."What are you doing?" She whispered. I had no idea why we were whispering because I also whispered back."Opening the door."Her mouth fell open. Not the first time but ever since we drove to the hotel, she looked like she had seen a ghost. Judith was entirely quiet and I knew I was an asshole. I could have not lied to them."You live here?" Alice asked then turned to Carina. "She lives here?""Yes," Carina whispered. "Wait, why are we whispering?""Just open the door if this is where you live." Judith diced in with her shrill voice that made my smile disappear."Okay, Jesus, can you be less cold." I walked back to the door and I did not miss the squealing sound from Alice.I was about to enter the passcode when the door clicked and someone pulled it open. I jerked awa
