Sofia's POV

My head was heavy and I groaned gently as the pain slowly sipped out of my head.

"I think she is awake, get Mario quickly" My ears could pick up the voice of a man around and my eyes slowly blinked open until everything became visible to me.

The room was filled with men in black carrying heavy rifles and the scariest part was that they had their eyes on me.

I looked around and my heart struck dangerously against my chest on realizing there was more of them.

Oh heaven, I was kidnapped again and this wasn't Mr. Pompous, and they don't look like his people as well.

These men were Italians.

That man called me Princess Di Marco and that was what prompted me to run, knowing I could be in danger.

No one is supposed to know my true identity here in New York.

I tried to move only to realize my body was stiff and that prompted me to look down.

My frame was tied to a metal chair and my legs as well which made me scared as hell.

The men soon took their eyes off me to see the one wh

  • The Mafia Princess    205: The Triangle Of Death

Sofia's POV What in the actual hell? The air in my lungs locked the moment I spotted her. Rosita fvcking Duke, standing under the soft chandelier lights of the hotel lobby as if she belonged here. As if she hadn't spent the past five years wrapping governments around her pinky and skinning men alive with just a smile. I gripped the pile of documents tighter to my chest, fingers twitching from the sudden spike in my nerves. No, we weren’t followed. Giada took all the precautionary routes.“I didn’t believe the rumors that you actually stayed here,” She said, her voice carrying that slow confidence that always made my skin crawl, “But how surprising to see you here. Such a coincidence”Coincidence my ass.I forced a polite curve into my lips, careful not to crack the porcelain perfection of my Aurora DE Santa face, “To what do I owe the honor of a visit from a tech goddess like you?” My tone was smooth. “Oh,” She said sheepishly, “I came to see someone. Had a little rendezvous pla

  • The Mafia Princess    204: The Unwelcomed Guest

Sofia's POV I sat at the backseat of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, flipping through the pile of documents on my lap while Giada handled the steering. My fingers turned the pages slowly, absorbing the contents one after the other, and with every new page, my brows furrowed deeper."This is more than what I asked for," I muttered loud enough for her to hear from the front.Giada didn’t even flinch, "Maybe that’s his love language,” She joked, grinning through the rearview mirror.I gave her a hard glare in response, but her smirk didn’t disappear. She was always this way, using jokes to disarm me. But this time, it didn’t land well. Not after the words he said to me at the end of that call.‘I care for you. I have and will always...’Those words were still ringing in my head.He couldn’t have meant it... right? There was a pull in my chest. Just slight, but strong enough to worry me. I’ve fought too hard to detach from anything emotional. Now here I was, wondering if this relationship

  • The Mafia Princess    203: A Blonde Barbie

Clancy’s POVI lowered the binoculars for a second, letting the breeze slap some clarity back into my skull. The rooftop air bit colder tonight, but it did nothing to cool the heat boiling in my chest. I leaned back on the ledge and shut my eyes. One breath. Just one. Then I raised the binoculars again. She was there. Blonde. Elegant. A silhouette bathed in streetlight. The smoothness of her skin didn’t crinkle under light, not even once. Flawless. Too flawless. The moment she stepped from the alley, I felt something twist in my chest. It wasn’t her walk. Not the way her hips swung or the way her heels clicked. It was her fvcking voice just now m.Italian accent. Sweetened English. Sharp, calculated pauses.Too refined. Too Sofia. That couldn’t be her. It’s madness, right? First Aurora DE Santa with Sofia’s taste. Now this stranger with her voice. Was this how madness starts for men who lose what they love? First, you taste things that aren’t real. Then you hear things

  • The Mafia Princess    202: I Care For You

Sofia's POV I adjusted the small mirror in my hand again, tilting it just slightly under the lights in the back of the Rolls-royce Phantom. The new face staring back at me wasn’t Aurora De Santa and certainly not Sofia Dante. It was something else, an exquisite mask, laced with a kind of beauty that unsettled even me.High, sculpted cheekbones dusted with natural glow, subtle across a small straight nose, rose petal lips that curved like secrets. Her eyes—my eyes—were the same shape, but surrounded by slightly elongated lashes and arched brows that softened the intensity. This face, this creation, was devastatingly charming. Beautiful... perhaps even more than the face I'd inherited at birth.“Do you think this boyfriend of yours will appreciate a fake face?” Giada’s voice sliced into my thoughts, smug and teasing as usual from the driver’s seat.I didn’t take my eyes off the mirror, “Are you going to tell him about it?”She snorted, “I wouldn’t spoil your chances, sugar mama.”

  • The Mafia Princess    201: Morning Crises

Riiiing... Riing.... Riii—My eyes blinked open slowly to the faint sound, then scrunched shut again in resistance. A warm cocoon of sleep had wrapped around me, but the high-pitched ring was disturbing. "Shhh," I heard Giada whisper softly from beside the bed. I turned my head lazily to see her silhouette leaning toward the table, trying to silence my phone, “I didn’t want to wake you, but someone already did”She grimaced apologetically as I stretched out my arm and took the device from her. The brightness of the screen made me squint. My heart leapt the moment I saw Gloria's name among the missed calls.I shot upright instantly, all sleep gone from my body, “Shit.”This wasn’t a good sign.Gloria never called without reason. She wasn’t one for idle chitchat or morning pleasantries. If she was calling, something had gone wrong. The cyber weapon. Something must've happened.Could Agent 45 have failed? My brain replayed the conversation from last night. I remembered staying

  • The Mafia Princess    200: The Decision

Clancy's POV Rocking back and forth on the creaky chair, I stared blankly at the moonlight cutting across the skyline. The night was quiet, too damn quiet for a city that never slept. But somehow, it felt like everything had slowed to watch me rot in silence. Just me… and that memory. The moonlight, Sofia used to love this view. We’d sit just like this on the balcony of my mansion, her curled into the curve of my arm, whispering stories I never cared about, but listened to anyway. Her voice was peace, her laugh? My fvking oxygen. I never needed to look up at the moon, I had her.And now… nothing but silence.I leaned forward, jaw tense. I could still taste it.That pancake.Damn it.My tongue rolled again like it was trying to wring every last trace of it before my brain convinced me it had never happened. Soft. Warm. A little buttery with that hint of vanilla cinnamon she always snuck in when she thought I wasn’t watching. The taste had faded from memory years ago, buried in t
