Chapter 10 (Luca)

last update Última actualización: 2026-01-14 01:40:39

What the fuck is happening right now?

It’s like she woke up and did a complete 180. I thought we were making progress. We talked last night—just me and her. Hell, she even kissed me on the cheek before I left. And now?

Now I’m sitting at breakfast, and she’s ignoring me like I’m some stranger. Then she casually drops that someone named Sam is coming with us tonight. Who the hell is Sam?

She mentioned his name yesterday too. Something about Ivan’s men following her while she was with him. Is that who she made out with before? If so, he’s done. She’ll never see him again. She’ll be mine. Only mine.

Oh my God… I’m jealous of a teenager.

What the actual fuck is wrong with me?

I shake my head and finish breakfast, trying to focus. Sal and I go over a few things before Gio walks in. Sal heads to his office, and I tell him we’ll join him in a few minutes.

Gio starts making his plate. “What’s up, bro? GreenLee already leave?”

“Yeah, she left for school. Listen—we need to talk.”

“Okay?”

“When you were looking into GreenLee, did you come across a guy named Sam?”

“Sam? No. Why?”

“She said he’s joining us at the clubs tonight.”

Gio shrugs. “Maybe he’s gay. I hear American girls like going out with gay guys so they don’t get hit on.”

“Hm. You might be right. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.”

I leave Gio to eat and head to Sal’s office. I want to finalize the agreement—just in case she says yes. I tell Sal about the cheating clause. He gives me a pointed look.

“I have no intention of cheating,” I say. “I told her we’d include it to ease her mind.”

He nods and types it into the document. Gio joins us, and by the time we’re done, it’s lunchtime. We order in. It’s 1 p.m. when we finish. GreenLee will be home by 3.

I decide to shower and rest. I want to be downstairs when she gets home. I want this Sam guy to know exactly who she belongs to.

Who the hell am I?

I wake up right at 3. Maybe she’s not here yet?

I head downstairs, and just as I reach the bottom step, the front door opens. I smile a little when I see her walk in.

“Oh, hi Luca,” she says, smiling back.

“Hey. How was your day?”

“It was good.”

“Is it just you? I thought your friend was coming with you?” I ask, trying not to sound jealous.

She giggles and glances back at the door. It opens again, and in walks a girl—taller than GreenLee, with long black hair. She’s pretty, but not GreenLee pretty.

She waves the girl over. Maybe she’s Sam’s girlfriend?

“Luca, this is my best friend Sam. Sam, this is Luca.”

Wait… Sam?

Sam is a girl?

She pulled one over on me. I shake my head and reach out to greet her, smiling at GreenLee as Sam takes my hand.

“Nice to meet you, Sam. I hear you’re joining us tonight?”

“Yes, I am. Hope you don’t mind. But don’t worry—I won’t be in your hair for long. You’ll have GreenLee all to yourself by the end of the night.” She wiggles her eyebrows at me.

I can’t help but laugh.

“Sam!” GreenLee warns.

“What? He’s hot. You’d be crazy not to try that ride.”

“Oh my God. Go upstairs and take a shower or something. I’ll be up with snacks,” GreenLee says, blushing.

She’s adorable when she blushes. And now she’s biting her lip.

Hold it together, Luca.

“Oh, right. So you want some alone time now? I get it. Oh, and Luca—if you ever hurt her, I’ll cut your dick off and stick it up your ass.” Sam says, heading upstairs.

“Well, she’s… um…”

“A pain in the ass,” GreenLee finishes, heading to the kitchen.

I follow her, offering to help carry drinks up to her room. While we’re alone, I decide to talk.

“You know, you could’ve told me.”

“Huh? Told you what?”

“Who Sam was.”

“And where’s the fun in that?” she giggles.

“What did she mean by she won’t be with us long?”

“Oh, Sam always goes to the first club with me, then runs off with her boyfriend. She uses me as a cover with her mom—who doesn’t approve.”

“Why not?”

“He’s older. Twenty-six, I think. He’s a good guy, treats her right. But her mom’s… a little odd. Thinks Sam and I should be nuns or something.”

“Nuns? No, sweetheart. You should never hide yourself. The whole world should see you.”

“Smooth,” she laughs.

“Sorry, I gotta try. Also—what was with this morning? I thought we were good.”

“Oh, we are. But after you left my room, I felt like I made it too easy for you. So I wanted to see you sweat a little. I’m going to make you work for it.”

“Oh, is that so?” I raise a brow.

“What?” she asks, biting her lip again.

I walk toward her. She backs up, stopping when she hits the counter. I trap her with both arms on either side, leaning in close.

“You’ve been a little brat since yesterday,” I whisper. “I let it slide because of everything going on. But now? I think it’s time I punish you.”

“P-Punish me?”

“Yes, sweetheart. The question is… how?” I run my fingers down her neck. She bites her lip to hide a moan.

“No, no, Bambina. If you keep doing that, I’m going to have to taste those lips for myself.” I tug her bottom lip gently with my thumb.

“I… we…”

“What’s wrong, GreenLee? Do you want me to taste your beautiful lips?” I tease, brushing my thumb across her mouth.

“I should get upstairs before Sam starts to wonder where I am,” she says, laughing nervously.

I step back and grab the drinks. “If you say so… After you, sweetheart.”

I follow her upstairs, watching the sway of her hips.

Damn it. I was so close.

  • The Mafia Princess   Epilogue II (Matteo)

I came into this world sixty seconds before my brother—just a minute, but it’s a minute that shaped everything. My father, Luca Ricci, always said it was fate. My mother, GreenLee, preferred to think of it as destiny. Either way, from the moment I drew my first breath, the weight of the Ricci name settled around my shoulders.Salvatore and I have always been mirror images: both tall, both tan, both inheriting the strength of two empires. But if you look close, you’ll see the difference. My hair is black as midnight, just like my father’s—unmistakable, a mark of the Ricci line. Salvatore’s is a blend, streaked with hints of red that catch the sun, a living reminder of our mother’s Kansas City fire. People used to mix us up, but never for long. I carry my legacy on top of my head; Salvatore wears his on his brow.Growing up in the Ricci estate felt like living in a gilded cage. Every lesson, every glance, every whispered promise was meant to mold me into the next Don. There was no room

Truth is, she gave me mine. I held Metteo first, felt the weight of my grandfather’s name settle into my arms like a vow. Defender. That’s what Alessio means. I’d never understood it until now. Then Salvatore. Her uncle’s name. My own. That one hit harder. Legacy isn’t just about blood—it’s about choice. And GreenLee chose me.
