Chapter 36

Hazels POV

I made my way to his office as slowly as I could with my heart in my stomach. I silently prayed for the day to pass but one can only wish.

Walking into his spacious office, he was standing by the window and when he turned to look at me, his expression wasn’t exactly welcoming and it was easy to assume that something was wrong. I swallowed the bile in my throat before I could speak.

“S…. Sir… you called for me?” I stammered, I could hear my heartbeat racing and I felt my palm getting even more sweaty.

“Yes, I did.” He answered, his frown still not wearing off. If José has called or told him anything then it would be horrible for me because I had no idea what I was going to tell him.

“I’m here.” I announced like he couldn’t see that I was standing right in front of him. My knees were getting weak and I could feel myself getting hot from inside.
