Chapter 57

Hazel’s POV

I took another glance at the laundry I was doing and one more glance at Damian. I’d thought of giving him a hard slap across his face but he was too injured and looked too tired to be able to take anything more brutal.

I turned off the washing machine and walked towards him, he pulled me closer to him and his usual tight grip was soft this time even though he’d tried to make it hard.

“I feel weak.” He muttered when I tuck him to bed and I only smiled, he looked like a child that needed to be attended to.

I turned to leave since I’d done what I felt was right but I felt a pull on my hand that made me stop in my tracks, “stay, please.” He begged and I was shook but not asking him for a reason as to why he wanted me to stay. I sat beside him on the bed.

The room was silent for a while and the only thing that could be heard was his slight snore and his moving on the bed.
