Damian’s POV

The number calling was an unknown number and I’d thought whoever was at the other end of the call was going to say something.

Frustrated, the person wouldn’t say anything so I decided I was going to, “Hello?” I said into the phone and just at that moment the call dropped.

Which mysterious caller calls someone and then hangs up just when the person speaks?

Pacing around, I dialed the number again but it stopped going through. All efforts to get through to the caller proved futile.

I tried to shake the thought off but a part of me kept pricking me that it could be Hazel calling and hurriedly, I picked my phone back up and desperately tried to call the number back again.

It kept giving me the same answer and it didn’t take long for the service provider to tell me that the phone I’m trying to reach is switched off.
