Chapter 99

Hazel’s POV

We all had fun at the park, took pictures, tried almost all of the food trucks and it took all of the persuasion in the world to get Asher to let us go back home because of how late it was getting.

School starts next tomorrow but Alesha called and told me she had big news so we just had to go back home.

We went back to Lucas’s apartment to pack our things and Lucas drove us back home. Asher was already asleep in the back seat by the time we got home.

“He must be so tired.” Lucas said, stopping the car when we got to my apartment and I asked him who on earth wouldn’t be tired after stressing all day.

“He really didn’t want to leave.” I laughed and Lucas joined as he promised that he was going to make sure Asher had more fun next weekend.

Getting out of the car, Lucas helped carry Asher inside and tucked him in his bed. The look on Alesha’s face told me that she couldn’t wait for him to leave so she can ask what she’s been meaning to.
